There were multiple contests across all levels of boy’s and girl’s lacrosse raising awareness and donations for “Cancer Day”. In addition to today’s boy’s game, the girls defeated Horseheads 16-6 (HERE). Today’s contest was a vastly different game from the contest just last week between the same two teams. After a back-and-forth contest last Saturday, today’s match was much more one-sided. The Cougars took long stretches of possession and gave the Lakers very little time on offense. The Lakers attempted to use what opportunities they could get; however, it was not enough. There were standout performances from Livonia goalie Matt Beachel with 7 saves in the first quarter (10 total for the game), HFL attackman Chase Perryman with 4g-2a, and HFL face-off midfielder Drew Angelo. | ||||
