Tuesday: Victor Over Pittsford in OT and IRQ over HFL

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were a number of exciting games played in light rain or drizzle, starting with an overtime win by Victor at Pittsford. The Blue Devils scored the last five goals of the game. Irondequoit had a big 12-10 win over visiting HF-L and the Storm had a 5-4 overtime win over visiting Livonia-Avon.

RUSH-HENRIETTA-16 at FAIRPORT-6 - The Royal Comets extended their winning streak to five as they scored their first four goals in under two minutes at the start of the game at Fairport. Mike Valent dominated the faceoff, winning 20+/5- (80%) and often bulled his way from the middle of the field to the goal, scoring the first two goals in the game. Seven different players scored goals including senior midfielder Tyler Bernarduci who reached his 50th career goal with his two goals (51g). The offensive book also saw scoring from Cody Coleman (5g-3a), Bernarduci (2g-2a), Justin Dey (2g-2a), and Hayden Hobbs (3g-1a). In the goal for Rush-Henrietta (6-2) was sophomore Daniel Schmitz with 12s/6ga = 67% (48 mins). LIVONIA-AVON-4 at GREECE STORM-5 in overtime - Senior midfielder Matthew Ranalletta scored the overtime game winner for Greece Storm with 46 seconds left in overtime. There were four ties in this game with each team taking turns with goals. Jackson McEnerney scored the final tying goal with 46 seconds left in regulation. Scoring for the Greece Storm (5-5) were Andrew Hill (2g-1a), Aiden Early (1g-2a), Noah Kozak (1g-0a), and Ranalletta (1g). In the goal for Greece Storm Jonathan Bucciarelli made 11s/4ga = 73% (51 mins).

Scoring for Livonia-Avon (5-4) were Max McEnerney (2a), Jackson McEnerney (2g), and Hunter Rumfola (2g-0a). Faceoff specialist Joey Cinquino won 8+/4- = 67%. In the goal for Livonia-Avon was senior Matt Beachel with 10s/5ga = 67% (52 mins).     [ BOX SCORE

THOMAS-5 at BRIGHTON-11 - After posting two goals each in the first quarter the Bruins led at the half 4-3, but then held the titans to a single goal in each of the first quarters while scoring seven for themselves. Axsel Stanat (4g-1a) broke the last of three ties and Brighton held the lead for the rest of the contest. Leading the scoring for Brighton (5-5) were James Holbrough (3g-4a) and Miles McGuire (2a). Sophomore Trevor Serve (2g) scored his first Varsity goal in the game while face off specialist Henry Werzinger won 16+/4- = 80%. The Bruins will host Victor on Thursday.

Scoring for Thomas (3-7) were Michael Dowden (1g-1a), Jagger Altieri (2g), Nicolas Ange (1a), Jake Polizzi (1a), Jack Burns (1g), and Joseph Tiberio (1g). Thomas goalie Zachary Isaac recorded 12s/11ga = 52% (48 mins). The Titans will host Irondequoit on Thursday.     [ BOX SCORE

VICTOR-7 at PITTSFORD-6 in overtime - Victor extended their winning streak to 9 wins (10-1) with an exciting overtime win that saw the Blue Devils come back from a 6-2 deficit while holding the Panthers scoreless in the second half. It was most certainly a game of halves as the Panthers scored five unanswered goals in the first quarter and led 6-2 at the half. With just under four minutes left in the half, Victor senior midfielder Thomas Gravino (4g-1a) scored the second of his four goals to start the Blue Devil run of five goals. Gravino scored the tying goal with 11:09 left in the fourth quarter and scored the game winner with 1:26 left in the overtime period. Both teams had more than one try in overtime.

Others scoring for Victor (10-1) were Pax Marshall (2g), Sam Gotham (1g), Kyle Saeger (1a), and Jack Herendeen (1a). Facing off for Victor was senior Sam Ricci with 16+/1- = 94%. In the goal for Victor was senior Brady Robinson with 11s/6ga = 65% (48 mins).

HFL-10 at IRONDEQUOIT-12 - After a 3-3 tie in the first stanza, the Eagles took a one goal lead at halftime (7-6). In the third quarter they added to their lead by another sing goal and held on with a 1-1 tie in the fourth quarter for the win. There were four ties in the game with Aidan Greco (2g-1a) breaking the last tie with one second left in the half. Others scoring for Irondequoit (5-5) were Cooper Moore (2g-4a), and Jonah Carrier (4g). Irondequoit goalie Nick Lepiane recorded 11s/10ga = 52% (48 mins). Irondequoit will be at Thomas on Thursday night.

Leading the scoring for HFL (8-2) were Chase Perryman (2g-3a), Drew Angelo (2g-2a), Marco Vengoechea (2g), Mathew Brassie (1g-1a), Owen Smith (1g), Patrick Donahoe (2g), and Quinn Kailbourne (0g-3a). Facing off for HFL was Drew Angelo with 16+/9- = 64%.    [ BOX SCORE

MIDLAKES-RED JACKET-1 at MYNDERSE-18 - Junior attackman Lucas Stevers reached his 50th career goal for the Blue Devils with his 7 goals ( now 55g). Mynderse scored five unanswered goals in the first quarter and led 7-1 at the half. Others scoring for Mynderse (5-4) included Griffin Hilimire (5g-8a), and Dylan Tandle (2g-1a). In the goal for Mynderse was junior Logan Pettingil with 3s/1ga = 75% (48 mins). The blue Devils will host Marcus Whitman on Thursday.

GANANDA-3 at NEWARK-13 - Gananda scored first, but the Reds came back quickly and held the Blue Panthers scoreless for the rest of the game. BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-4 at PAL-MAC-15 - Pal-Mac extended their winning streak to 8 wins (9-2) as they saw ten different players scoring goals including Ethan Ely who scored his first Varsity goal in the game. Leading the scoring for Pal-Mac were Mike Halsey (2g-7a), Dylan LaBerge (2g-2a), and Keagan Hoesterey (3g). SPENCERPORT-13 at SCHROEDER-5 - It started out as a close game with the teams tied at 4-4 at the half, but the Rangers scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter and added four more in the last stanza. Leading the scoring for Spencerport (8-2) were Cameron Mesh (5g-1a), Trevor Lewis (3g), Jayden Mandarano (2g-1a), Jayden Rodriguez (3a), and John Choate (1g-1a). Cameron Mesh won 15+/1- = 94% at the faceoff X. Spencerport goalie Ezra Schmeer had 2s/1ga = 67% (4 mins), and Taylor Kaye had 11s/4ga = 73% (44 mins). The Rangers will host Pittsford on Thursday.
