Tuesday - Lots of Close Ones Today
DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were three one-goal games today. Penn Yan beat Haverling 8-7, Pittsford beat Spencerport 8-7 and Thomas beat R-H 14-13 in OT.
FAIRPORT 15 - BRIGHTON 5 - After a 9-1 half, the Red Raiders cruised to a victory over visiting Brighton. Ten players made the Red Raider offensive book. Leading the list were Billy Meagher with 2g-3a Nd Kyle Gould and Mitchell Parker with 3g each. Joey Giggie won 17 of 19 faceoffs for Fairport (9-3). Cal Oberst had 2g and Ethan Amidon had 1g-1a for the Bruins. [BOX SCORE]
RUSH-HENRIETTA 13 - THOMAS 14 OT - Nathan Hoban (2g-1a) received the ball from Ethan Shappee (3g-1a) at 2:48 in overtime to give the Titans the win at Rush-Henrietta. David Petz had 4g-1a and eight others made the book for Thomas ( 8-4). Faceoff specialist Mike Valent won 26 or 31 draws for the Royal Comets who had six players scored two goals each. WAYNE 16 - MIDLAKES-RED JACKET 0 - Logan DuVall-Swartzenberg and Noah Gauvin combined for the shutout and Kaleb Glessing posted 5a while Merrick Bosch had 5g for Wayne. A dozen players made the offensive book. Nate Jansen was credited with 16s (50%) for Midlakes-Red Jacket. [BOX SCORE]
BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE 11 - NEWARK 16 - Present Steve had 6g-2a and Tyler Deline added 4g-1a for Newark (7-4). Caleb George-Cady had 13s (54%). There was no report from the Pride. [BOX SCORE]
GREECE STORM 0 - CANANDAIGUA 19 - Jack Faiola, Tyler DeRue and Riley Williams combined for the rare shutout for the Braves. A dozen players scored points with Drew Williamee posting 4g-2a and Sean Olvany had 3g-1a. Dom Gullace won 16 of 18 faceoffs for Canandaigua (10-4). HAVERLING 7 - PENN YAN 8 - There were four ties in the game but a run of four unanswered goals put the Mustangs in the lead and although the Rams scored at 3:11 brought the teams to within one goal. Carter Earl had 2g-1 and Teagan Fingar had 1g-2a for the Mustangs (9-3). Goalie Griffin Emerson made 12s (63%) for Penn Yan. Ezra Hoad had 3g and Jamie O`Neil added 2g-1a for the Rams. PAL-MAC 13 - MARCUS WHITMAN 4 - The Red Raiders had a 7-1 lead at halftime and scored six more goals in the third quarter. Peyton Lich had 10s (77%) in the cage for Pal-Mac and Quinn Nolan won 17 of 18 draws and led in scoring with 4g-1a. Four different players scored for the Wildcats (8-5). Pal-Mac is currently 11-1 and play Penn Yan on Thursday. [BOX SCORE]
AQUINAS 13 - LIVONIA-AVON 15 - The Lakers had a one goal lead at the half and then had a one goal advantage in the second to take the 15-13 win at Aquinas. Jackson McEnerney posted 1g-4a, Shane Malead had 5g, and Matthew Connor added 5a for Livonia-Avon (7-5) while goalie Matt Beachel recorded 17s (57%). Aquinas saw goals from Tano Auriuso (4g), Myles Blackwood (2g-3a) and Angelo Palumbo (4g-2a). [BOX SCORE]
HF-L 5 - IRONDEQUOIT 11 - Chase Perryman led the scoring of HF-L with 3g-1a. There was no report from Irondequoit at post time. [BOX SCORE]
PITTSFORD 8 - SPENCERPORT 7 - After Spencerport took a 5-2 lead in the first quarter, the Panthers scored six out of seven goals to go ahead 8-6 at the end of the third quarter. Cam Mesh scored at the top of the last quarter, but that was the end of the scoring as the Panthers (11-3) got the 8-7 win at home. Ben Steingass led the Pittsford scoring with 4g-1a. BROCKPORT 6 - GATES CHILI 15 - Blake Fennell had 5g-3a and Owen Curley had 4g for the the Spartans who are on a three game winning streak. Goalkeeper Nathan Weise made 13s (68%). There was no report from Brockport at post time. [BOX SCORE]
EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE X - CHURCHVILLE-CHILI X - Jaxon Leonard posted 5g-5a and Brett Seaman had 2g-4a for the Saints. There was no report from the Eagles at post time. [BOX SCORE]
The Gananda at Waterloo and the Mynderse at Geneva were both postponed.
