Thursday: Victor and Livonia-Avon Make a Statements
Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: In the first minute of the game Victor scored two goals against Fairport and cruised to a 19-2 win at Fairport in their season opener. Sam Ricci dominated at the faceoff X, winning 16 of 17 (94%). Marcus Whitman won their first game of the season in a good game with Gananda. A couple of goals before the half was the difference as Livonia-Avon defeated Pal-Mac 8-6. Other winners, most in not so close games were Wayne, Aquinas, Pittsford, Irondequoit and Thomas.
LIVONIA-AVON-8 at PAL-MAC-6 - It was a close game at Livonia today as three goals by the Lakers in the second quarter turned out to be the difference in the win over Pal-Mac. Leading the scoring for Livonia-Avon (2-0) were senior attackman Jackson McEnerney (3g), sophomore offensiveman Max McEnerney (1g-1a), senior midfielder Christian Rumfola (2g), and sophomore midfielder Hunter Rumfola (2g). In the goal for Livonia-Avon was senior Matt Beachel with 8s/6ga = 57% (48 mins).
Leading the scoring for Pal-Mac (0-1) were senior attackman Mike Halsey (2g-2a), junior A/M Keagan Hoesterey (2g-1a), and junior offensiveman Dylan LaBerge (1g-1a). In the goal for Pal-Mac was junior Peyton Lich with 10s/8ga = 56% (48 mins). [ BOX SCORE]
VICTOR-19 at FAIRPORT-2 - Nine different Victor players scored in the opening game for both teams. The Blue Devils took a 9-1 lead in the first quarter and was 13-2 at halftime. Junior midfielder Aiden Clinkscales scored his first Varsity goal for Victor. Others on the book include senior attackman Pax Marshall (3g-2a), senior midfielder Thomas Gravino (4g-1a), junior attackman Jack Herendeen (2g-2a), senior attackman Ethan Lischerelli (4g-0a), and senior attackman Sam Gotham (2g-1a). As expected, faceoff specialist Sam Ricci dominated at the faceoff X, winning 16 of 17 (94%) and in the goal were seniors Brady Robinson with 4s/2ga = 67% (32 mins) and Rylan Seager with 4s/0ga = 100% (16 mins). Victor plays Calvert on Tuesday.

MYNDERSE-7 at WAYNE-18 - Wayne won their first game of the year while hosting Mynderse in a Finger Lakes game. Seven different players made the book for Wayne including junior midfielder Alex Garrow (4g-2a), senior A/M Nate Michel (4g-1a), junior midfielder PJ Ostrowski (3g-2a), and senior A/M Izak Krajeski (3g). In the goal for Wayne was senior Dylan Coene with 5s/4ga = 56% (36 mins) and junior Noah Gauvin with 3s/3ga = 50% (12 mins).

THOMAS-9 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-2 - Thomas won their first game of the season as the visitors at Churchville-Chili with even scoring through the game. Leading the scoring for Thomas (1-1) were junior midfielder Jagger Altieri (3g), junior attackman Joseph Tiberio (2g), sophomore midfielder Jake Polizzi (2g), junior midfielder Reid Doolittle (1g-1a), and junior attackman Nicolas Ange (1a). In the goal for Thomas were senior Zachary Isaac with 11s/1ga = 92% (40 mins), and freshman Joshua Jobson with 8s/1ga = 89% (8 mins). Thomas is at R-H on Tuesday.
Leading the scoring for Churchville-Chili (0-2) were junior midfielder Cameron Gefell (1g), freshman attackman Jaxon Leonard (1g), and senior face off midfielder Sean Levey (1a) who was 5+/4- = 56%. HAVERLING-1 at AQUINAS-19 -Aquinas scored the first eleven goals in a GRALL game that saw nine different players score for the Irish. Freshmen A/M Jake Guggino and Jack Bell and junior midfielder Grayson Gomes each scored their first Varsity goal in the game. Others making the book include senior attackman Drew Eddy (2g-4a), freshman offensiveman Tano Auriuso (3g-2a), and sophomore offensiveman Gio Valerie (3g-1a). Facing off for Aquinas was junior Carter Wegman with 5+/1- = 83%, and sophomore Noah Olbrich with 10+/0- = 100%. In the goal for Aquinas was freshman Jake Gibson with 2s/0ga = 100% (24 mins) and Logan Schimmel with 1s/1ga = 50% (24 mins). AQ hosts Greece on Tuesday.

GANANDA-6 at MARCUS WHITMAN-9 - In a close game the Wildcats led 5-4 at the half and early in the third quarter Drew Smith scored the tying goal for Gananda. Marcus Whitman junior midfielder Melkamu Blueye (4g-1a) scored two in a row and junior attackman Teague Gallogly (2g-1a) added a third goal to give the Wildcats a 8-5 lead after which the teams traded goals. Sophomore attackman Kaiden Smith scored his first Wildcat Varsity goal and senior attackman Rylan Weissinger had (2g). Facing off was junior Jullien Cokely with 11+/8- = 58%. In the goal for Marcus Whitman was senior Blake Dunton with 10s/6ga = 63% (48 mins).
