The 2011 Section Five Tournaments are now underway with twelve out bracket games played today. There were two upsets in the seeding as, in Class A, #9 Greece Thunder beat #8 Greece Lightning 11-9. In Class C, #9 Mynderse won a 15-13 victory over #8 Marcus Whitman.

Pittsford's 10-1 win against Spencerport gave the Panthers an unusual perfect regular season, finishing at 16-0. A number of games were canceled due to thunder storms in the area, but more of the late games were played. Rush-Henrietta had an exciting 4-3 overtime win against Livonia. Schroeder beat HF-L 11-9 and Brighton had an exciting one goal win against Thomas.

Eddie Eddington was named a USLacrosse All American and Ben Reeves was named a USLacrosse Academic All American by the Section Five Coaches.

Patrick Donnelly, a defenseman for Webster Schroeder, recently announced his decision to continue his studies while playing lacrosse at Ithaca College. The National Honor Society senior member picked up thirty-five ground balls, recorded five takes and made one assist in his junior year with the Warriors.
