Monday: Whitman over Midlakes
At the start of a week that will see games every day, four games were played in the Section today. Honeoye Falls-Lima had a rare shutout in their win over Batavia. Pal-Mac beat Gananda, Marcus Whitman beat Midlakes and Waterloo edged out Mynderse 12-10 in a night game.

-- Marcus Whitman won 12-8 over visiting Midlakes this afternoon. Underclassmen were the key to the Wildcats victory. Sophomore Karl Gray (2g-5a) and freshman Matt Hall (3g-1a) led in scoring. Additionally, Merritt Bailey finished with nine saves. For Midlakes, Cory Gray (2g-1a) and Sean Peck (3a) led. In the cage, Matt Brennessel finished with 15 saves.

-- Honeoye Falls-Lima defeated Batavia 19-0. The Cougars defense held the Blue Devils to only three shots in the entire game. In the cage for HF-L, Nick Beniamino pled the first half without facing a shot on cage and Stephen Leonard finished the game with one save. For Batavia, Dylan Buchholtz finished the game with nine saves. Leading in scoring for HF-L were Jason Boike (5g-3a), Drew Tallon (4g-5a) and Connor Flaherty (4g-3a).

-- The Red Raiders (6-2) had a 20-4 victory over first year team, Gananda this afternoon at Palmyra. Ben Reeves (5g-4a) and Mike Russell (4g-1a) led the offensive book for Pal-Mac. Senior goalie Matt Carkner had seven saves.
Zach Rink, Ian Palmer and Kyler Friesner each had one goal and one assist and Zach O`Connor added one goal and led the team in ground balls with eight for the Blue Panthers.

-- Waterloo defeated Mynderse 12-10. The Indians took the lead in the third quarter and held it. Waterloo was led in scoring by Cody Riegel (1g-5a) and Elliott Messmer (3g-2a). In the cage, Josh Bailey finished with eight saves. For Mynderse, Leroy Halftown led with 4g-1a. In the cage, Tim Trickler recorded 11 saves.
