Penn Yan Maintains Perfect Record

Penn Yan continued their undefeated season with an 8-3 win over Westhill in Saturday's non-league matchup. Penn Yan opened the game with one goal in the first quarter and gradually increased their lead, scoring a combined seven goals over the remaining quarters. Westhill struggled to keep pace, managing just three goals throughout the game.

Leading the way for Penn Yan was Teagan Fingar with four goals and two assists, while Braden Fingar contributed two goals and one assist. Mike Gigliotti and Tukker Fisher each added one goal and one assist to round out Penn Yan's scoring. Goalie Will Thompson played a standout role, recording sixteen saves and maintaining an eighty-four percent save rate over forty-eight minutes. For Westhill, Brendan Gilhooley led the team with two goals, while Andrew Mondo scored one. Grady Etoll and Trevor Young provided assists for their team. Westhill's goalie Keller O'Hern made thirteen saves.

Freshman Greyson Hathway played an important role for Penn Yan at face-off, achieving a fifty-three percent win rate with eight victories out of fifteen attempts.
