 DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - UPDATED - All four Section V teams won their Western Regional games today at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford. Pittsford and Victor took their games to running time early in the second half, while both Penn Yan and HFL took time before taking control. Full Story |

 Due to the smoke issues and air quality, the NYSPHSAA tournaments at both Cortland and Albany have been moved from Wednesday to Friday. The games times have also been changed. Next up for the Section V Champions are the NYS Semi-finals, which will be held two different venues. Classes A and C will play at Homer High School. Classes B and D will be held at Tompkins Cortland Community College. Full Story |

Monroe County Awards for 2023 |

 The Monroe County Division 1 Player of the Year was Mike Valent (Rush-Henrietta). Cameron Mesh (Spencerport) was the Division 2 Player of the Year and Jack Faiola (Canandaigua) was Division 3 Player of the Year. Nominees for the Bob Scott Award were Keenan Edwards (East United-Eastridge), Drew Pagano (Schroeder) and Jason Mosher (Hilton). Full Story |
USA Lacrosse All-Americans and All-Academics |

 The Head Coaches of Section V considered players who had been nominated for All-American and All-Academic awards. The awards identify some of the best players from each area around the country. Each of the head coaches in the Section is allowed to vote on each of the awards. The selections from our area were then submitted to the USA Lacrosse for final approval. Full Story |

2023 Rochester Chapter Senior Games |

 The Rochester Chapter of USA Lacrosse recently announced the14th Annual Herb Fitch and Chris Barnes Lacrosse All Star Game player selections. This year's contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Thursday, June 15th at Victor High School. The boys' game will start at 6:00 PM and the girls' play at 8:00 PM. Full Story |

2023 All-Section Five List Released |

 For the eighth time and after a brief absence, Section Five Lacrosse leadership has selected first, second and honorable mention lists of All-Section players. The 2023 first team lists fifteen players and includes the six All-Americans previously announced.
