Haverling scored five goals in the first quarter and eight in the second on their way to a 19-12 victory over Avon on Friday afternoon. Full Story

A goal scored in the second quarter made the difference as Webster Thomas beat visiting Penn Yan 6-5 this afternoon. Spencerport beat Brighton by a goal as well. Full Story

Sam Lopez Selects Ithaca

After considering the University of Tampa and St. John Fisher College and Springfield, Irondequoit senior defenseman Sam Lopez has decided to continue his education and play lacrosse at Ithaca College. Full Story

Tuesday: Schroeder gives Penn Yan a Scare

Five games were postponed but ten games were played. Schroeder led for most of the game, but Penn Yan came back for an 8-5 win on the road. Bloomfield-Honeoye scored two goals in the last quarter to beat Wayne Central 5-3. Midlakes defeated Batavia 11-10. Full Story

Pittsford Lacrosse Festival on Saturday

The Pittsford boys lacrosse team will host Hilton on Saturday at 3:00pm as part of the Pittsford "Lacrosse Festival" sponsored by Pittsford Community Lacrosse. There will be boys and girls games all day as part of the festival. Full Story

Cognata Memorial Game a Success

Last night at St. John Fisher College the first annual Blake Cognata Memorial Lacrosse game was held. Pittsford Varsity girls played the Victor girls and the Pittsford boys played the Victor boys in a double header. Full Story

We Lose Bruce Teague, Senior

Section Five Lacrosse lost a great supporter and friend today with the passing of life-long lacrosse enthusiast, Bruce R. Teague, Senior. Bruce played lacrosse at Geneva High School, graduating in 1967 and was named to the 1st team All-Upstate lacrosse team in his senior year. Full Story

Bobby Sollenne Selects Potsdam

Robert Sollenne recently announced his intent to continue his education and play lacrosse at SUNY Potsdam after graduation next month from Geneva High School. The long stick defensive is a two year varsity player for the Panthers and played in summer league tournaments like the Lake Erie Showcase and the 1812 Shootout. Full Story

Bloomfield-Honeoye senior midfielder Allan Smith has decided to play his first two years of college lacrosse at Finger Lakes Community College as part of a two plus two program where he will be pursuing a Criminal Justice degree. Avon picked up another GRALL win with their 7-5 victory over Bishop Kearney. Pal-Mac won a 13-2 win over Midlakes. Medina of Section 6 beat Newark and Penn Yan defeated Haverling. Full Story

The All Star list is out recognizing the GRALL players for the 2013 season. Senior defenseman, Luc Bailey from McQuaid was selected as GRALL "Player of the Year". The GRALL coaches gave the Sportsmanship award to Haverling-Haverling. Full Story

 Section 6 - Champions were Orchard Park (Class A), Hamburg (Class B) and Silver Creek (Class C). OP beat Clarence 14-5, Hamburg defeated Niagara Wheatfield 18-7 and Silver Creek was the winner over Akron 17-12.
