Callahan, who in three games this season has won 58/66 (88%) faceoffs also scored 2g-1a. The game started even, with three ties before Victor took a lead at 4-3 and did not let go. Senior M/A Cal Lambert led the scoring for the Blue Devils with 3g-2a. Senior midfielder Alex Seiler added 2g-1 and five other players scored one goal. Fairport sophomore A/M Jackson Monte led in scoring for the Red Raiders with 2g-1a. Fairport (2-2) will play Penfield on Friday while Victor (3-0) is playing Irondequoit. The Titans (5th seed) defeated Knights (4th seed) with a slow methodical pacing to the game. Throughout the contest, both teams were slow to go to the cage. They took their time before capitalizing and that led to a mostly back and forth contest. Both teams led with the game only being more than one goal apart a single time. |

Although the Titans led by six twice during the contest, the Saints kept the game interesting in the fourth. Throughout the contest, the score was tied each time up to 7-7 with both teams leading at different points in the game. After Thomas scored their 8-7 lead, the game never tied again and Thomas held out the win. Their 10th goal was scored with 0:12 remaining. Schroeder came out strong winning the first quarter 3-2. Thomas came back with two unanswered goals in the second quarter to take the 4-3 lead into halftime. The Titans never lost the lead after that. |
