Victor defeated Pittsford 12-7 to advance to the Class B Finals. Matthew Herendeen led Victor with three goals and three assists, while Kyle Seger contributed three goals and one assist. Victor controlled the game after a tied first quarter, scoring five unanswered goals in the second and maintaining their lead. Pittsford’s Lewis Grant was the only Panther with multiple points, finishing with one goal and one assist. Victor will face top-seeded Canandaigua on June 3rd at Hobart. Full Story

Penfield Advances to Class Finals

Penfield defeated Fairport 10-7 in the Section 5 semifinal, with Griffin Banister leading the team with four goals and one assist. Jake Maurer added three goals, while Brodie Joyce, Manny Castro, and Harrison Easton each scored once. Goalie Mason Schembri made 10 saves with a 59% save percentage, and Colin Miller won 11 faceoffs. Penfield will play McQuaid Jesuit in the Class Finals on June 3rd. Full Story

McQuaid Advances to Class A Finals

McQuaid Jesuit secured a 19-5 victory over Rush-Henrietta in the Section 5 semifinal on May 30. Ten players contributed goals, including leading scorers Talin Parks and John Burrows. Penn Yan Advances to Class D Championship

Penn Yan defeated Mynderse-Romulus 19-4 in the Section 5 semifinal, with nine players contributing to the scoring effort. Teagan and Braden Fingar, Tukker Fisher, and Miles Ditzell led the offensive charge. Penn Yan's defense held strong, with solid performances from goalkeepers Jaxon Jensen and Wilson Oliva. Brennan Thomas Lifts the Pride in Closing Seconds

Bloomfield-Honeoye won the Section 5 semifinal against Midlakes with a 12-11 victory, capped off by Brennan Thomas’s winning goal with five seconds left. Tyler Bruder led the team with three goals, while John Blair assisted on four scores. Goalie Ethan Stoddard finished with a 54% save rate. Pal-Mac Defeats Wayne to Reach Class C Finals

Top seeded Pal-Mac used multiple long runs of scoring to defeat fourth seeded Wayne 21-10 in the first of tonight’s two Class C Semi-Final games. The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Jackson Dennie (6g-4a). Reid Diehl (4g), Brandon Dennie (3g-1a), Luke VanGorden (3g-1a) also added multiple goals for Pal-Mac. For Wayne, Shane Coleman (3g-1a) and Tucker Eaton (4g) led in scoring. The Eagles’ goalie, Gavin Hamel, had an outstanding first quarter with 9 saves; he finished the game with 16 total saves. Penfield Advances to Section V Semifinal

Penfield defeated East United-Eastridge nineteen to zero in the Section V Quarter Final. Fourteen players scored, with Brodie Joyce leading with three goals and three assists. Goalie Mason Schembri recorded four saves in twenty-two minutes, and Nate Roche added one save in twelve minutes. Geneva Move On To Semifinals

Geneva earned a 21-7 victory over Newark in the Section 5 Quarterfinals, with seven players scoring goals. Ryland and Jack Dunham led with five goals each, and Geneva controlled faceoffs throughout the game. Brent Williams recorded a 63% save rate in goal. Newark's top scorer was Sam Underhill, who finished with four goals and one assist. Goalkeeper Carter Bumpus made 16 saves over 48 minutes. HFL won the Section V quarterfinals over Brockport, 14-2, with strong offensive contributions from Kailbourne, Goodberlet, and Vengoechea. Canandaigua Secures Victory Over Aquinas

Canandaigua secured a 20-12 victory over Aquinas in the Section 5 quarterfinals, led by senior attackman Drew Williamee’s five-goal performance, which marked his 100th career goal. Ryan Bremer added six goals, while Aquinas’ Jake Guggino countered with six goals of his own. Pittsford Coach Whipple Wins 250th

Pittsford defeated Brighton 7-2 in the Section 5 quarterfinals, pulling ahead with a strong third quarter. Cole Goetz led Pittsford with three goals, while goalie Bear Wehrheim recorded ten saves and reached his 100th career save. Brighton’s offense came from Miles McGuire and Ben Marangola, and goalie Logan Serve made fourteen saves. Pittsford coach Andrew Whipple earned his 250th career win as the team moves on to face Victor in the semifinals on Saturday at Wayne High School. Full Story

Wayne Advances After Win Against Lakers

Wayne overcame an early deficit to defeat Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 11-7 in the Section V Quarterfinals. Mason Michel led the way with four goals and one assist, while Shane Coleman contributed three goals and five assists. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo was led by Rider VanZandt with three goals and two assists. In goal, Wayne's Gavin Hamel recorded nine saves with a 56% save rate, and Livonia-Avon-Geneseo's Colton Rose posted 15 saves at 58%. Rush-Henrietta earned a 15-5 victory over Greece Storm in the Section V quarterfinals. Mynderse-Romulus Holds Off BK

Mynderse-Romulus edged Bishop Kearney 15-14 in a back-and-forth Section 5 Quarter Final matchup. Griffin Hilimire’s 10-goal performance led Mynderse-Romulus, while James Scantleburry contributed five goals and four assists for Bishop Kearney. Freshman goalie Ethan Cole made 17 saves, surpassing 100 career saves with a 53% save rate. Pal-Mac won its Section 5 Quarter Final matchup against Batavia-Notre Dame with a final score of twenty-four to two. Jon Smith led Batavia-Notre Dame in scoring with two goals, while Gavynn Trippany and Aiden Robins each had an assist. Batavia-Notre Dame’s goalies, Branden Flanagan and James Rachow, combined for seven saves. Pal-Mac continues its undefeated season, while Batavia-Notre Dame finishes its season with one win. Midlakes Advances to Semifinals

Midlakes defeated Gananda 14-4 in the Section 5 Quarterfinals with contributions from seven different goal scorers. Leading the way was Carter Casper with four goals, while Brendan Baldwin reached his 50th goal of the season. Midlakes goalie Stuart Quku posted a 78% save percentage. Gananda's offense saw early goals from Jase Smith and Brody Daciw, while goalie Nick Falso recorded 20 saves. Midlakes extended its winning streak to five games and will advance to the semifinals. Colin Giudice Score OT Win for Irondequoit

Irondequoit defeated Hilton 6-5 in overtime in the Section V quarterfinal. The game was close throughout, with Hilton leading early before Irondequoit rallied to take the win. Junior attackman Colin Giudice scored the overtime game-winner, finishing with two goals. Irondequoit’s senior goalie Sven Habitzreuther made 17 saves, surpassing 400 career saves, while Hilton’s freshman goalie Brendan Maxwell recorded 13 saves. Full Story
