Canandaigua Secures Victory Over Aquinas

Canandaigua advanced in the Section V playoffs with a 20-12 win over Aquinas on Tuesday evening. Senior attackman Drew Williamee led the way with five goals and four assists, reaching his 100th career goal milestone. Ryan Bremer added six goals and two assists, while Jack Stanney contributed three goals. Other scorers included Mike Belles (three goals, one assist), AJ Sterman (two goals), and Patrick Olvany (one goal). In goal, Evan Scibelli finished with eight saves on 12 shots in 48 minutes of play.

Aquinas kept pace early, with Jake Guggino netting six goals and Noah Olbrich recording two goals and five assists. Tano Auriuso added three goals and one assist, while Jack Bell chipped in with a goal and an assist. Goalie Jake Gibson tallied 15 saves over 47 minutes. The team briefly surged with a three-goal stretch in under two minutes during the third quarter, but Canandaigua responded with a strong fourth quarter to seal the win.

Canandaigua took control with a five-goal run and maintained steady scoring throughout the game. Faceoff specialist Peyton Fritz won four of six draws for Canandaigua, while Dom Siesto went 18-for-35 for Aquinas. With the victory, Canandaigua improved to a 15-2 record, advancing to the next round of postseason play where they will play Irondequoit.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
