Thursday: Penfield Takes Pittsford, Newark and Mynderse Win

Sixteen games were played on another great spring day. Penfield beat Pittsford 7-5 in a key match up, making for exciting possible Class A semifinal games. Newark beat Midlakes by one goal as did Mynderse, who beat Gananda Full Story

Sam Lopez Selects Ithaca

After considering the University of Tampa and St. John Fisher College and Springfield, Irondequoit senior defenseman Sam Lopez has decided to continue his education and play lacrosse at Ithaca College. Full Story

Tuesday: Schroeder gives Penn Yan a Scare

Five games were postponed but ten games were played. Schroeder led for most of the game, but Penn Yan came back for an 8-5 win on the road. Bloomfield-Honeoye scored two goals in the last quarter to beat Wayne Central 5-3. Midlakes defeated Batavia 11-10. Full Story

Pittsford Lacrosse Festival on Saturday

The Pittsford boys lacrosse team will host Hilton on Saturday at 3:00pm as part of the Pittsford "Lacrosse Festival" sponsored by Pittsford Community Lacrosse. There will be boys and girls games all day as part of the festival. Full Story

Cognata Memorial Game a Success

Last night at St. John Fisher College the first annual Blake Cognata Memorial Lacrosse game was held. Pittsford Varsity girls played the Victor girls and the Pittsford boys played the Victor boys in a double header. Full Story

Saturday: Thomas over PY - Spencerport over Brighton

A goal scored in the second quarter made the difference as Webster Thomas beat visiting Penn Yan 6-5 this afternoon. Spencerport beat Brighton by a goal as well. Full Story

Friday: Haverling Takes Avon

Haverling scored five goals in the first quarter and eight in the second on their way to a 19-12 victory over Avon on Friday afternoon. Full Story

Thursday: Fairport over PY, Livonia over AQ and More

Unlike may of the game days of late, there were some very exciting games and scores today as 15 games were played. Mynderse beat Wayne 5-4, Fairport overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat Penn Yan 7-5 and Midlakes defeated Marcus Whitman 9-8. Full Story

The Greece Thunder (Ath/Ody) improved their record to 7-4 with a win over Avon today. Full Story

Tuesday: Victor Takes Irondequoit, Fairport Defeats Penfield

Finally, there were a number of close games played in the section today. Victor held off a last minute attack by Irondequoit to hold on to a 7-6 win. Hilton beat the Lightning 8-6, McQuaid came back hard to beat Livonia 14-13 in overtime. Full Story

Many lacrosse players wait until the spring to make their decisions relating to continuing their lacrosse careers in college. Although some many sign contracts to play, many more simple enroll as students and play without scholarships. Full Story

The Genesee Community College recently announced the signing of three players from Livonia, who are expected to sturdy at and play or the college after their graduation this spring. Full Story

Wednesday: HF-L over Avon

On a cold and rainy night The Cougars scored seven goals in the first quarter and five more in the second on their way to a 16-6 win against visiting Avon. Junior attackman Ryan Kelly stole the show for HF-L with 6g-3a. Full Story
