The Cougars set the tone early, jumping to a 5-0 lead and maintaining control throughout, led by standout sophomore Grady Goodberlet (6g-2a), who was named Class C All Tournament MVP. Teammates Marco Vangoechea (6g-1a) and Quinn Kailbourne (2g-4a) also played pivotal roles, while Jackson Dennie (3g) and Reid Diehl (1g-2a) led the Red Raiders' efforts. HFL’s strong defensive showing, highlighted by face-off battles and eight saves from goalie Jason Bennett, sealed the victory. Topping the list is Canandaigua's 4-3 win at Brighton where neither team scored in the second half. Pittsford took an early lead and then never gave it up in the 8-6 win over visiting Irondequoit and Spencerport held Fairport scoreless in two quarters in their 7-3 win at home. Penfield scored four unanswered goals in the first quarter and then coasted to their 11-7 win over visiting Schroeder.
