Bloomfield-Honeoye Opens Season with Win

BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-14 at GANANDA-6 - Bloomfield-Honeoye opened its season with a 14-6 win over Gananda on Wednesday at R. Mann Elementary School. The Pride trailed 3-2 after the first quarter but outscored Gananda six goals to one in the second to take control. Sophomore Wyatt Hall was perfect at the faceoff dot, winning all 22 draws.

Sophomore attackman Brayden Arber led Bloomfield-Honeoye (1-0) with seven goals and one assist, reaching 100 career goals in the process. Freshman attackman Brennan Thomas added three goals and four assists, senior Caleb Beadnell contributed one goal and three assists, and Hall chipped in three assists. Three players scored their first career varsity goals and assists: freshman Liam Whiting scored two goals and one assist, and freshman Max Bradshaw added one goal and one assist.

Although no stats were available from Gananda (0-2) at post-time, Nick Falso broke the school record with 32 saves. Cameron Richards had four goals, Nick Falso had a goal and Malaki Thomas had his first varsity goal. 

Bloomfield-Honeoye will host Batavia-Notre Dame on Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 PM. Gananda will travel to Aquinas on Tuesday, April 7 at 5:30 PM.
