Saturday: Victor over JD

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Victor has a statement game with their 16-11 win over visiting JD. Irondequoit defeated Hilton, and McQuaid beat Brighton.

Brighton at McQuaidJD-11 at VICTOR-16 - The Blue Devils looked like it was post-season against a quality team from Section III. Multiple passes before goals and many interior feeds were the order of the day as Victor came back from a 2-3 first quarter with five goals in the second to take a 7-4 lead at the half. Both teams played hard throughout the game and after a 3-3 tie in the second quarter the Blue Devils never lost the lead. Helping control ball-time was face off specialist Sam Ricci who had ten ground balls along with winning 22 or 29 (76%) faceoffs.

Brighton at McQuaidHILTON-4 at IRONDEQUOIT-12 - The Eagles had a run on eight unanswered goals and at one point posted six goals in just under six minutes. Junior defensive midfielder Jordan Nolan scored his first Varsity goal for Irondequoit and Aidan Greco reached his 50th assist with his two assists today (now 50g). Leading the scoring for Irondequoit (3-4) were Cooper Moore (4g), Aidan Greco (2g-2a), Jonah Carrier (1g-2a), and Oliver Grisdale (2a).
