Tuesday: Spencerport in OT and Gates Chili by One

Eleven games were played on Tuesday Spencerport and Hilt played to a tie nine times before Ben Tribunella scored on an assist by Seth Miller to give the Rangers a 12-11 victory. Full Story

Wednesday: Irondequoit, Genny and McQ

Three games were played on Wednesday. Irondequoit defeated Webster Thomas 10-5, West Genesee beat Penfield 16-9 and McQuaid Jesuit defeated Livonia 13-9 in GRALL action. Full Story

Thursday: Mynderse in Overtime - Gananda over Newark

Eleven games were played on Thursday. Mynderse beat Wayne 9-8 in overtime. Gananda beat Newark 8-7 and Brockport beat the Lightning 9-8. Fairport beat Victor 10-4 and Pittsford beat Canandaigua 8-4. Full Story

The Brighton Lacrosse Booster Club is, once again, organizing a project to collect items for soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Full Story

Saturday: Irondequoit Over Duxbury 4-3

Irondequoit traveled to Massachusetts and brought home a 4-3 win against the Duxbury Dragons. Penn Yan overcame a 4-0 first quarter deficit and scored twelve unanswered goals starting in the second quarter in their 12-4 defeat over Geneva. Full Story

Week Number 2 Team Rankings

There was very little movement in the poll for week number two. The only changes occurred in Class C where HF-L moves up from #5 to #3 and Pal-Mac and Livonia tie at #4. Full Story

Tuesday: Vacation Week Begins With CA over Geneva

Canandaigua came back and scored the final two goals in their 5-4 win over Geneva. Penn Yan won a 5-2 victory over Lakeland/Panas. Penfield beat Brighton 15-6. Full Story

JMJ JV/Modified Tournament - New Format

The Jeffrey Milano-Johnson Memorial Lacrosse Tournament is an event celebrating the life of Jeff Milano-Johnson and supports the Jeffrey Milano-Johnson Memorial Fund. Full Story

Wednesday: Rangers over Warriors

Spencerport scored the first three goals of the contest on their way to an 18-6 win over Webster Schroeder. It was the only game scheduled in the section on the Wednesday of vacation week. Full Story

Thursday: Fairport, Waterloo and Victor Win

Victor, Fairport and Waterloo were winners on Thursday. Fairport won a 13-2 victory over visiting Webster Thomas. Waterloo took East Rochester 12-9 and Victor beat Spencerport 14-8. Full Story

Week Number 5 Team Rankings

This week the Fan's of SportsFive added their thoughts to the Class B poll and they overwhelming selected Irondequoit, along with the pollsters. Full Story

Friday: Penn Yan, Penfield and HF-L Win

Penn Yan, Penfield and HF-L were the winners on Friday. Penn Yan won the annual rivalry with a 7-3 win over visiting Canandaigua. Penfield scored three unanswered goals in the first to help win their game against the Long Island team from Lindenhurst 12-11. Full Story

Saturday: Aquinas, Fairport and Brighton Win

The last three games of the vacation week were played on Saturday. Aquinas played a good game with Webster Thomas and traveled home with a 13-10 win. Full Story

Monday: Back from Vacation

Vacation is over and two games were played today to start off a week that includes 44 games. Eastridge beat Brockport 13-6 and East Rochester beat Wayne 6-4. Full Story

Week Number 3 Team Rankings

There were a couple of changes this week, but most of the positions remained the same as in Week two. Victor moved up from #3 to #2 in Class B and in Class C Livonia moved up from #5 to #4. Full Story

Thursday: PY, Fpt and Irondequoit Remain Undefeated

enn Yan, Fairport and Irondequoit all maintained their undefeated season with wins today. Penn Yan played a close 10-8 game with Penfield. Fairport beat Canandaigua 8-3 and Irondequoit was a winner over Schroeder. Other winners today were Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, Spencerport, Full Story

Friday: East Rochester over Kearney in OT

East Rochester won a 10-9 victory in their overtime game with Bishop Kearney. It was the only game played on Friday. Full Story

Saturday: Irondequoit falls, C-C in OT, Whitman by One

On a very rainy day there were fourteen games played. Ithaca (Section IV) broke three tied quarters to beat visiting Irondequoit 11-8. With 1:24 remaining in the first overtime period, Aaron Buck scored during a double man-up opportunity to secure a 13-12 win for the Churchville-Chili over Spencerport. Full Story

Monday: Livonia and Pittsford Win

There were two games played on Monday. Livonia scored ten goal sin the first quarter on their way to an 18-2 victory over Bloomfield-Honeoye. Albie DiPasquale scored the game winner on an assist from Corey Parke in overtime as Pittsford defeated Clarence (Section VI) 12-11. Full Story

Tuesday: Wayne Wins First Varsity Game

Wayne Central won their first varsity game today when they beat Midlakes 7-6. Canandaigua won in overtime against Victor. It was Eastridge over Greece Lightning 11-8, Geneva over Waterloo 6-2, Mynderse over Newark 10-7 and Gananda over the Pride 8-7. Full Story

Wednesday: Livonia beat McQuaid in Overtime

Senior attackman Wyatt Struble scored the game winner in overtime to give Livonia a 12-11 win over McQuaid Jesuit in GRALL action tonight. Churchville-Chili beat Brockport 8-1 and East Rochester was a 19-4 winner over visiting Batavia. Full Story

Brockport Lacrosse Sets Benefit Game

The Brockport lacrosse team is planning a benefit game for May 15th. The Blue Devils are scheduled to host the Gates Chili team at 5:00. Full Story

Kevin Randall up for National Award

A Section Five alumnus is a finalist for a prestigious national award. Notre Dame senior defenseman, Kevin Randall has been selected as a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Full Story

Thursday: Irondequoit, Thomas and Gananda Win

There were fifteen games played on Thursday and most of them were not close. The most exciting game of the day may have been Irondequoit's 9-7 win over Penfield. Full Story

Friday: Whitman, Hilton and McQuaid Jesuit Win

Three games were played on Friday night. Marcus Whitman beat Newark 14-0, Hilton beat Brockport 14-7 and McQuaid Jesuit beat Greensburg Central Catholic 13-2. Full Story

Saturday: Fairport over JD in last Seconds

In one of the six intersectional games today, Fairport scored the winning goal in the last few seconds of the game to defeat Jamesville-DeWitt 11-10 at Hobart College. Pittsford hosted Section VI powerhouse, Orchard Park and came away with a 15-6. Full Story
