Jackson would like to give credit to the defense for holding Churchville to 3 goals in the second half. Jackson passed the 250th point for his varsity career on Sat. Vs Churchville."

Offensive Player of the Week

Sean OlvanyRex Kesselring - Pittsford Attackman

Rex Kesselring Has been a majory player for Pittsford since tenth grade and had been in on a number of high-pressure moments, but one of the best was his game-winning goal against Canandaigua in the third overtime period. Scoring points in every game this season, he has 36g-7a for the Panthers thus far. As for big gmaes, he had 2g-1a in the 7-6 win vs West Genesee, 3g in the 8-8 win vs CBA and 2g in the 8-7 win vs St. Joseph.

Pittsford Head Coach Andrew Whipple says: "Rex has had an amazing senior season. As a captain of our team, he has become a true leader. Rex also is one of our leading scorers, however that is not what is important to him. Rex just wants to win and see his teammates succeed!"

Defensive Player of the Week

Nick LepianeBlake Dunton - Marcus Whitman Goalie

Blake Dunton had 18 saves (67%) in a 11-9 win over Seton Catholic, including two big stops during a two minute non-releasable penalty in the last 3:30 of the game to secure the win. With 195 saves this season he is a 63% goalie with over 700 minutes in the goal. The Wildcat senior is a SUNY Morrisville commit in his third year in the Varsity goal.

Marcus Whitman Head Coach Michael Gorton says, " I've had the pleasure of coaching Blake since second grade.  He is one of the hardest workers in our program and embodies the “grow the game” mindset by working with our youth throughout the year.  He’s been a team captain the last two seasons and shows a level of toughness few players possess.  He’s had multiple big games for us this season, none bigger than Seton Catholic.  Blake had two amazing saves in the last minutes of the game to preserve the win."

Defensive Player of the Week

Thomas KirnieThomas Kirnie - Newark Goalie

First year Varsity goalie Thomas Kirnie made a donzen saves (75%) when the Reds beat Gates Chili on Saturday. With the score 8-6 after three quarters, Thomas helped hold the Spartans scoreless in the fourth quarter.  With just over 100 saves in his first season he currently has 1 67% save percentage.

Newark Head Coach John Hicks says, "This is his first year playing goalie. He has always played attack and even at times this year has been put at attack to give us a spark. He has a huge passion for the game and with that passion comes with hard work. Thomas always wants shots no matter what the drill is or anything, he wants to be in the net. In the game against gates he made some great saves and he didn't let him getting a penalty go to his head, he went back in and made some great saves and proved he has the mental toughness to play in net. He works very hard and is a great kid."
