Saturday: Pittsford and Canandaigua Win

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Canandaigua traveled to Corning for their 11-6 over Corning (Section IV). At home, Pittsford had a strong second half in a very close game and beat West Genesee (Section III) 7-6.

In the fourth quarter Pittsford scored two while hold West Genesee to one to grab the win. Scoring for Pittsford (4-1) were Rex Kesselring (2g-1a), Ian Erskine (2g), Ben Steingass (1g-1a), freshman midfielder Avery Valenti (1g-1a), Luke Fliss (1g). West Genesee at PittsfordCANANDAIGUA-11 at CORNING-6 - It was a close first half with each team scoring one goal in the first quarter and three in the second. The second half belonged to the Braves who outscored the Hawks 7-2 for the win. Sophomore midfielder Jack Stanney scored his first Varsity goal for Canandaigua. Also scoring were sophomore attackman Drew Williamee (4g-2a), junior midfielder Braden Gioseffi (3g), and senior attackman Nate Sheridan (1g-1a). Facing off for Canandaigua was senior Luke McCrobie with 17+/3- = 85%. In the goal for Canandaigua was senior Jack Faiola with 10s/6ga = 63% (48 mins).
