DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Saturday's most dramatic finish came at Canandaigua, where Irondequoit trailed by four goals before scoring three times in the final 30 seconds of regulation to force overtime, then got the winner from Hank Velepec to escape with a 9-8 victory. Elsewhere, it was a big day for milestones, with Brighton's Teddy Carl putting up 12 goals in a 23-1 win over Greece Storm, Spencerport's Zach Tortora reaching 150 career goals, and Victor's Will Simpson recording his 200th career save. Six of the seven teams in action on Saturday posted wins of five goals or more.

IRONDEQUOIT-9 at CANANDAIGUA-8 in overtime - Irondequoit rallied from a four-goal deficit with three goals in the final 30 seconds of regulation to force overtime, then got the winner from Hank Velepec to stay unbeaten at 2-0. WEST GENESEE-4 at VICTOR-13 -  Victor stayed unbeaten at 2-0 with a 13-4 win over West Genesee in a non-league game Saturday, getting first varsity goals from McAuliffe and Hay, a strong faceoff showing from Ricci, and a milestone 201st career save from Simpson, who stopped 21 shots for an 84% save percentage. MCQUAID JESUIT-16 at CANISIUS-9 -  McQuaid Jesuit opened its season Saturday with a 16-9 win over Canisius, getting four goals from Bianchi, three goals and four assists from Burrows, and three goals and two assists from Giangreco, who also went 10-for-13 at the faceoff dot. Sophomore Pitt scored his first varsity goal, and Paladino stopped 12 shots in goal. EAST AURORA-5 at SPENCERPORT-12 - Spencerport rolled to a 12-5 non-league win over East Aurora on Saturday, with Tortora hitting the 150-goal milestone, Cirella scoring his first varsity goal, and Kaye topping 100 career caused turnovers. Spencerport improves to 3-0.    [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

 GRAND ISLAND-2 at PAL-MAC-19 - Pal-Mac stayed unbeaten at 2-0 with a 19-2 win over Grand Island on Saturday, getting four goals apiece from the Dennie brothers, a two-goal, four-assist game from Hill, and milestone assists from both Brandon Dennie and Hill.
