DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were seven games played today highlighted by Penfield's Brodie Joyce breaking his school's 20-year scoring record with eight goals in a win over Fairport, Brockport's Ryan Miller reaching 101 career goals in a 9-8 win over Gates Chili, and Spencerport's Zach Tortora recording his 200th career point in a win over Schroeder. Other winners included Hilton, Rush-Henrietta, Pittsford (9-8 over Thomas), and HFL.

PITTSFORD-9 at THOMAS-8 -  Pittsford opened its Monroe County D-2 season with a 9-8 road win over Thomas on March 24 — its fifth straight win over the Saints — led by Avery Valenti (6g), Trevor Nally (2g-1a), and Grant Lewis (1g), with freshman Keegan Jacob winning 15 of 16 faceoffs (94%); no stats were available from Thomas at post-time.   [ Story and BOX SCORE]    - - More images in the photo gallery.

HILTON-25 at GREECE STORM-2 - Hilton opened its Monroe County D-1 season with a 25-2 win over Greece Storm with 11 players scoring goals led by Anthony Mitrano (5g), Drew Brien (4g-2a), and Cahlan Smith (2g-4a). Brady Graves (2g), and Cam Wilson (2g — both first career varsity goals) while juniors Anthony Meli, Evan John, and Brady Graves and sophomore Lucas Grizzanti also scored their first varsity goals, Trypp Hilbert and Grizzanti each recorded their first varsity assists, Owen Harnden stopped four of six shots (67%), and Greece Storm's James Maccallini scored both goals while Eric Odell reached 503 career faceoff wins.  [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

GATES CHILI-8 at BROCKPORT-9 - Brockport edged Gates Chili 9-8 in a Monroe County D-3 opener with senior Ryan Miller reaching 101 career goals and 50 career assists on a four-goal, two-assist night, supported by Jaxon Ophardt (2g), Freshman Samuel Cedeno scored his first varsity assist and Johnathan Pienio won 12 of 17 faceoffs (71%), while Gates Chili was led by Joshua Yakowitz (3g), Gianni Salandy (2g), Noah Truax (2g — first varsity goal), Chandler Vogel (1g), and Zach Fennell (4a), with junior goalie Demar Williams recording his 308th career save while stopping 10 of 19 shots (53%).  Story and BOX SCORE] 

EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-1 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-20- Rush-Henrietta opened its Monroe County D-1 season with a win over East United-Eastridge in Head Coach London Booker's return to the sidelines, with 11 players scoring led by Zachary Winner (5g), Luke Lippincott (3g-1a), Ronin Walker (2g-2a), Brayden Towner (2g-2a), and Preston Jackson (2g-2a — reaching 51 career goals); Myles Weaver, Ryder Zuchegno, Noah Valenti, and Raydyn Phommaxaysy-Barker each scored their first varsity goals, while Lippincott and Anthony Valenti recorded their first varsity assists.  [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

FAIRPORT-6 at PENFIELD-17 - Penfield opened its Monroe County D-1 season with a 17-6 win over Fairport headlined by Brodie Joyce's eight-goal, one-assist performance that broke Penfield's 20-year scoring record (previously held by Kelly McKenna) and pushed him to 103 career goals and 201 career points. Griffin Banister (3g-2a), Cole Bellerose (1g-2a), and Harrison Easton (1g-1a) and first-time varsity scorer Reid Rivero (1g) also contributed, while Colin Miller won 14 of 21 faceoffs (67%); Fairport was led by Cameron Duffy (2g), while Carter Mitchell, Paddy Cougevan, Matt Haugh, and CJ Trumble each scored their first career varsity goal.  [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

SCHROEDER-4 at SPENCERPORT-7 - Spencerport moved to 2-0 with a 7-4 Monroe County D-2 win over Schroeder, led by Zach Tortora (3g and recording his 200th career point), Patrick Keady (2g-1a), Gavin Brown (2g), and Mason Endres (2a). HFL-13 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-3 - HFL opened its Monroe County D-3 season with a 13-3 win over Churchville-Chili, with Marco Vengoechea (9g-4a), Jackson Coon (2g-1a), Alexander Meisenzahl (2g), and Tanner Olin (2g) leading the way; Churchville-Chili's Patrick Callahan scored his first varsity goal and assist, eighth grader David Donaghue scored his first varsity goal, while goalie Dominic Marra stopped one of two shots (50%) in the loss.    [ Story and BOX SCORE]
