Looking Back

For several days we noted our appreciation for our officials from the Genesee Valley Lacrosse Officials Association.

The week started on Monday when thunder storms caused a delay before the Greece Storm beat East United-Eastridge 10-8.

Tuesday was a busy day with more than a dozen games played. Pittsford beat Penfield in overtime. A score with two seconds left in regulation gave Victor a win at Fairport to remain the only undefeated team in the section. Hilton also won their game with R-H in overtime.

OP at Pittsford

Webster Schroeder goalie Casey Berns and Irondequoit attackman Noah Gibson were named Players of the Week.

On Thursday  there were four lead changes in an exciting game at Penfield where Fairport`s Monte brothers (Jackson and Mitchell) broke the 4-4 tie with just over two minutes left in regulation.

On Friday Thomas took an 8-5 win from Hamburg (Section VI), Midlakes-Red Jacket won their first game of the season  and Haverling had an 18-6 win against Bishop Kearney in a GRALL game.
