Brighton Wins at Pittsford

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Brighton fought back from a two-goal deficit at the end of the third quarter to defeat Pittsford in overtime 10-9. In overtime, both teams had attempts at the cage. Pittsford goalie Brecken Catalano recorded 2 of his 14 saves in overtime, but with 0:47 left in the first overtime period, Casey McDermott scored unassisted to give Brighton the win. STORY CONTINUES

Fairport took a 7-1 halftime lead and finished with a 13-6 win over visiting Irondequoit. Eleven Red Raiders made the offensive book which was led by Junior attackman Alex Nicastro who finished with 2g-5a. Sophomore attackman Kole Stuver added 2g-3a. There was no report from Irondequoit at post time.

Brighton at PittsfordJunior attackman, Gunner MacMillan led the Royal Comets with 5g-2a as they defeated Brockport, 11-8. Cameron Kuzniar recorded 19s (70%) for R-H who will play Hilton on Thursday. Matt Heyden had 3g for Brockport who will play Eastridge on Thursday.

Penfield scored five goals in the fourth quarter to defeat Thomas 11-6. Michael Mitchell scored three in a row as part of a seven-goal run by the Patriots. Travis Wagner posted 9s (6() in the goal. There was not report from Thomas at post time.

Gavin Lathrop had 4g-5a and Trevor VanNostrand added 3g-2a as Midlakes beat Mynderse this afternoon.

Senior defenseman Logan Chasey picked up fourteen ground balls and senior midfielder Joel Bean (2g-2a) won ten of fourteen faceoffs as Gananda won their contest with Medina.

Also winning today were Livonia-Avon, Midlakes, Greece, Churchville-Chili, Haverling and Geneva.
