The highly regarded Blue Devils from Victor had no trouble securing their ticket to the finals as they defeated Webster Schroeder.

Three of the four quarterfinals were mismatches with the higher seeded team winning, but in the #4-#5 match up it with the number five seeded Webster Schroeder, taking out Fairport (#4) in a 10-9 overtime thriller.

In a game that see-sawed back and forth, Thomas scored the winning goal in overtime to defeat Pittsford 12-11. On the other end of town Penfield defeated Schroeder by a goal in the last minute of the game.

The Greece Thunder was a one goal winner over Brockport in the closest game of the day. Irondequoit had a 13-7 win over Penfield and Wayne took Waterloo.

A full day of games today saw mostly mismatches but a number of interesting games. Penn Yan took a 10-7 game from Fairport and the Lightning won their game against Brockport in overtime.

Fourteen of the fifteen games played today were mismatches of various magnitudes. The most exciting game of the day was the overtime win by Spencerport over Brockport.

Thirteen games were played today with a number of games in the "must watch" group. Victor took visiting Fairport 17-7 and Pittsford took Irondequoit 19-5.

Irondequoit has a 15-9 win over visiting Ithaca while Livonia used a last minute flurry to take Rush-Henrietta in overtime. Waterloo and Midlakes played a close game, but the Indians held on to their one goal lead for the win.

There were twelve games played on Thursday, and once again, many were mismatches.

Brighton`s Brady McDermott scored with 0:59 remaining in regulation to secure a 14-13 win over Webster Thomas. Aquinas used two overtime periods to secure their win from Canisius as all but one team in the section played games today.

On the biggest night thus far, there were eleven games played and the closest game was three goals as Gates Chili held off a last flurry of goals from the Greece Lightning, winning 12-9 and Churchville-Chili who defeated Spencerport 13-10.

The 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic is now on the books, and as a change from the "Pro forma", the Rochester team did not win the championship.

The Christian Brothers Academy took an early three goal lead and never trailed in their 12-5 win over Westlake to secure their first ever State Title and the first ever Class D Title.  The Brother’s Alex Calkins led with 4g-1a and was named tournament MVP.  Defensive Player of the tournament was awarded to Peyton Bowler.  Although Westlake fought back hard in the first quarter, the Brothers continued their pressure and increased their lead all the way through the final quarter. 

Victor scored seven unanswered goals on their way to a 20-8 win over Webster Thomas. The game was close for the first quarter before a weather delay between the first and second quarters. Coming out of the delay, Victor scored five unanswered goals to increase their lead to 9-2. The Blue Devils had 10 players make their offensive scorebook with Drew Collins leading with 4g-2a. Mike DeMarco (4g-1a), Jamie Trimboli (3g-1a) and Ryan Maloney (2g-2a) added to the scorebook for Victor.

Victor took the game into running time to start the third quarter on their way to a 20-8 win over Hamburg. The Bulldogs came back in the fourth quarter after the Blue Devils pulled their starters. Victor played four different goalies during the game. Starting goalie Chayse Ierlan played the opening half and had 2 recorded saves and 3 goals against. Brennan Mackey played the third quarter with 2s/2ga. Justin Young (1s/3ga) and Connor Solomon (1s/1ga) split the fourth quarter.

Throughout the summer and into the fall there have been numerous college decisions made by players planning to continue to play after their high school graduations.

Michael Matheson, a rising junior at Victor High School, recently announced his commitment to the admissions process at the College of the Holy Cross.
