Tuesday: Thunder Over Brockport, Thomas Over Schroeder
The Greece Thunder was a one goal winner over Brockport in the closest game of the day. Irondequoit had a 13-7 win over Penfield and Wayne took Waterloo. Other winners were Pal-Mac, Fairport, Midlakes, Gananda, Victor, Gates Chili, Churchville-Chili, Spencerport and Pittsford.

-- SPORTSFIVE REPORT: Greece Athena/Odyssey scored four of the last five goals to defeat Brockport 11-10. The Thunder had trailed since the mid-portion of the second quarter before their scoring run took off in the fourth quarter. Brockport was held scoreless for 13 minutes at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters.
Ath/Ody scored the first two goals to take an early lead. Zack Gibaud and Dalton McCumber scored for the Thunder and they held a 2-0 lead for the first seven minutes. Brockport scored three before the end of the quarter and the Thunder added two more to lead 4-3 after 12 minutes. The second quarter belonged to the Blue Devils. After trading the first two goals, Brockport scored three unanswered to take a two goal lead (7-5) into the half. Chad Tobey, Jake Sweet and Austin Manchester scored for the Blue Devils.
In the second half, Ath/Ody outscored Brockport 6-3. The Blue Devils scored the first goal (Michael Kast), before the Thunder added two of their own (Josh Shields and Dylan Wiemer). The penultimate goal for Brockport was scored with 3:08 remaining in the third quarter with Austin Myers scoring unassisted. They Blue Devils kept the lead going into the final quarter (9-7).
Ath/Ody scored their four goals to start the quarter with Gibaud adding two more goals to his total and Ian Grana and Iain Balsamo scoring the other two. Brockport added more goal, but could not tie the game to force overtime. Senior midfielder Austin Myers finished 14/21 (67%) at the draw for the Blue Devils. He also led his team with seven ground balls. In the cage for Brockport, Trevor Stein recorded 9 saves in 41 minutes and Cam White recorded 2 saves in 7 minutes. Jason Harter recorded 7 saves for the Thunder and played the entire contest.

-- SPORTSFIVE REPORT: In the battle of the two Webster High Schools, Webster Thomas defeated Webster Schroeder 12-8. The Warriors started the game off strong before the Titans scored six unanswered to end the first and start the second quarters. After taking control, Thomas stayed ahead by at least two goals for the second half.
Jared Griffin scored the game opener, 1:43 into the game with an unassisted goal. Of the 20 goals for both teams only 4 were assisted. After Griffin's goal, Blake Balcaen scored back to back unassisted goals for the Warriors to give them a 3-0 lead 5:04 into the game. The Titans scored their first goal with an unassisted goal from Brad Smith. Two minutes later, Schroeder scored their fourth to take a three goal lead. That was their last goal for 19 minutes (until 9:58 in the third quarter). In that time, Thomas added six goals to take a 7-4 lead.
In the second half, Thomas kept their lead and didn't allow the Warriors to get closer than two goals. Travis and Trevor Ford both had strong games with Travis finishing with 4g-2a and Trevor finishing with 3g. In the cage for Schroeder, Antonio Deleo finished with 11 saves. For the Titans, Collin Deisenroth (4 saves) and Matt Yonko (5 saves) split time.
