In one of the six intersectional games today, Fairport scored the winning goal in the last few seconds of the game to defeat Jamesville-DeWitt 11-10 at Hobart College. Pittsford hosted Section VI powerhouse, Orchard Park and came away with a 15-6.

Senior attackman Wyatt Struble scored the game winner in overtime to give Livonia a 12-11 win over McQuaid Jesuit in GRALL action tonight. Churchville-Chili beat Brockport 8-1 and East Rochester was a 19-4 winner over visiting Batavia.

Irondequoit traveled to Massachusetts and brought home a 4-3 win against the Duxbury Dragons. Penn Yan overcame a 4-0 first quarter deficit and scored twelve unanswered goals starting in the second quarter in their 12-4 defeat over Geneva.

On a normally "off-day" three games were played in Section Five. East Rochester had the closest game, as the tied Akron at the half 5-5 and when on to at 10-8 win. Both McQuaid and Greece Arc/Oly (Lightning) had big, lopsided wins.

Pittsford's 10-1 win against Spencerport gave the Panthers an unusual perfect regular season, finishing at 16-0. A number of games were canceled due to thunder storms in the area, but more of the late games were played. Rush-Henrietta had an exciting 4-3 overtime win against Livonia. Schroeder beat HF-L 11-9 and Brighton had an exciting one goal win against Thomas.

It was a long awaited match up and at the last moment, moved from Pittsford Mendon to St. John Fisher College, where the stands were nearly full. The Panthers scored five unanswered goals in the fourth quarter for secure a 9-4 win over Fairport.

There were ten out bracket games played in the Section today and only one team that beat a higher seeded team. In the Class A bracket, Hilton (#9) beat Gates Chili (#8) and will play Fairport. Churchville-Chili be the Lightning and moves on to Pittsford.

No joke, there was some exciting play in Section Five today, with Midlakes beating Livonia, East Rochester with their first ever win, Thunder taking out Eastridge and Thomas over Penfield in overtime. There were also some mismatch wins by Brighton, Fairport and Canandaigua.

With nine lead changes during the game, Irondequoit ended up the 12-11 winner over host Penfield. Nick Doktor (5g-2a) scored three of his goals in the third quarter to give the Eagles a two goal lead going into the last quarter.
