The National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) announced that two helmets currently in the field do not meet required NOCSAE standards. The two helmets are the Cascade Model R and the Warrior Regulator.

Federation rules require that all players use approved equipment. Both helmets were previously certified.

Players who own either of these models should contact the company at Cascade (1-800-537-1702); Warrior (1-800-968-7845).

Cascade almost immediately posted a message on their site suggesting that they are working with the committee and expect a fix shortly.
