Finger Lakes Awards for 2022

Finger LakesThe Head Coaches from the Finger Lakes met at the end of the season and determined their awards for 2022.

Senior face off specialist midfielder Quinn Nolan (Pal-Mac) was named a USA Lacrosse All American from the Finger Lakes.

Senior goalie Griffin Emerson (Penn Yan), and senior attackman Curtis Denison (Geneva) were selected as USA Lacrosse All-Academics.

The Finger Lakes Player of the Year was Quinn Nolan (Pal-Mac) who was also the Midfielder and Face Off POY.  Curtis Denison (Geneva) was the Attackman of the Year, Robert Kinslow (Pal-Mac) was named Defenseman of the Year, and Griffin Emerson (Penn Yan) was Goalie of the Year. Noah Means (Wayne), was selected as the nominees for the Bob Scott Award.

The Finger Lakes Coach of the Year was Eric Carlsen (Wayne), The Assistant Coach of the Year was Rich Michaels (Gananda).

There were two Persons of the Year. Cooper Pieroni (Wayne) was selected, and Paul Dlugosh was named posthumously. According to Pal Mac Head Coach Joe Hill, Paul was "The Grandfather of lacrosse at Pal-Mac. He started and ran the youth program for the past 21 years!"  Geneva Head Coach Jeff Dunham added, "For years he helped to build the program from the ground up and coached teams during the spring/summer season. He was their youth coordinator and, in the words of his youth coaches, a legend of the game of lacrosse in Pal-Mac."
