Saturday: The Start of the 2012 Season

After three weeks of warm weather it was a little disheartening to have drizzle and cooler weather for the start of the game season. Three of the four games played in the section today were hosted at Aquinas. The first game of the season was Haverling-Haverling vs Mynderse Academy. The Blue Devils saw a great game from senior midfielder Leroy Halftown (4g) who controlled much of the game as Mynderse won 9-7.

Aquinas showed mid-season play in their 14-8 win over St. Francis (Buffalo - Section VI). Billy Lombardi (4g-2a) and Pete DiLaura (3g-1a) combined for 18 F/O wins for the Lil' Irish. Livonia used steady offensive play to defeat Geneva 7-3 and Irondequoit dominated their hosts at Webster Schroeder with at 15-2 win.
