Stafano Goal Gives The Eagles a Win over CA

After being tied at 3-3 in the second quarter, it was all Fairport as they won their game at Churchville-Chili. Reese Burek (5-1) and TJ Hendricks (4-1) led the scoring for the Red Raiders. Jake Santini made seven saves (54%) between the pipes. Jacob Buck led the Saints with 3g-2a and Mike Miara made 16s (52%) in the cage.

Jonathan KayBrighton tied the Blue Devils early in the second quarter, but Victor took the lead and never let go, with Mitchel Cain (5g) and Andrew Russell (3g-2a) leading the offense. Richie Pierpoint won 11 of 15 face offs for the Blue Devils.

Schroeder scored four unanswered goals in the last quarter for the win. Jonathan Kay(2g) scored the game winner on a feed from Colin Griffin(3g-2a) with just under two minutes left in the game. The game was tied four times. MORE

The Greece Lightning played a very close first half, playing to three ties, but the Thunder started to pull away in the second half for a 16-11 win. Sophomore Matt McHale (5g-2a) led the Lightning offense with five goals on six shots on cage.

Also winning today were Pittsford (5-0), Pal-Mac(6-1), HF-L (6-0), Gananda (2-1), Geneva (4-2), Midlakes (6-1), Webster Thomas (6-1), Eastridge (4-3) and Wayne (4-1).
