Coaches Andrew (Pittsford) and Craig Whipple (Irondequoit) took over the coaching duties as Head Coach Tony Calandra (Chatham High School, New Jersey State Champions, ’13 Brine National Champion) was held back by weather.
he Whipple brothers have won four Brine National Championships with team Rochester, but lost last summer to Team New Jersey in the semi final round. They have won the Brogden Cup for the US three times and were on the roster this time as Assistant Coaches.
The Brogden Cup, which features competition between teams from the United States and Canada started as a tournament between post-collegiate club teams but more recently has been played by U19 players.
