Although the Braves opened the scoring, Penfield scored the next four goals to lead 4-1 after the first quarter. Canandaigua moved within a single goal twice, but never re-tied the game. This is the first time that Penfield has defeated Canandaigua since 2012.

Devin Andrews, who finished with 5g for the Braves, scored the first goal 90 seconds into the contest.
