The Saints had their scoring much more spread out. They had seven players make their offensive book with attackman Trevor Hodgins finishing with 4g and sophomore midfielder Jason Tebo finishing with 3g. Attackmen Aaron Buck (2g-1a) and Ryan Cosgrove (1g-2a) also added points the totals. Face off midfielder Mike Caternolo finished with a team leading seven ground balls. Goalie Mike Yehl and midfielder Cameron Shipley added four ground balls each for the Saints. In the cage, Mike Yehl played the majority of the game and accumulated 11 saves. Jamie Cullen came in during a penalty and made 1 save.
Canandaigua scored two goals in the first 0:29 of the second quarter with back to back face-off fast-breaks. The first was scored by Schaefer and the second by Munn. Canandaigua took their first lead with 11:31 remaining in the second quarter. Churchville-Chili came back over the next five minutes and scored three goals. Hodgins scored another unassisted goal off a drive from behind the cage to tie the game. Alex Goodermote scored a man-up goal with a feed from Jake Mortier. Three minutes later Tebo scored with a drive down the left side. The Braves scored the next goal as Hulme came cutting up along the crease and Munn found him at GLE. Tebo scored his second unassisted goal with only 0:30 left in the half. Canandaigua took the ensuing face with Johnson picking up his own ground ball. He then sent the ball down to Munn, who continued it along the outside to Schaefer with only 0:14 remaining. The game was a one goal game going into halftime (8-7 Churchville-Chili).
The third quarter was really the turning point of the game with Canandaigua scoring five and holding Churchville-Chili to only two goals. Another man-up goal for Churchville-Chili started the quarter with Cosgrove scoring (assisted by Goodermote). Canandaigua scored the next four unanswered goals to go from trailing by two goals to leading by two goals. Hulme, Schaefer and Munn (2) scored for the Braves. The fourth goal was scored with 1:58 remaining. Munn took the ball to the outside and drove straight to the cage forcing himself past a triple team. Churchville-Chili scored their first goal in eight minutes with Hodgins picking up a loose ball on the crease and crossing it to Buck. Buck dodged his defenseman and scored unassisted with 0:44 remaining. Canandaigua added the last goal of the quarter with another face off goal, this time from Munn. Munn took a hard shot that dribbled past Yehl with 0:31 remaining on the clock. Canandaigua led 12-10 going into the final quarter.
