in tonight’s match-up, scoring the first 12 goals of the game and holding the Gray Wolves scoreless for the entire first half. Junior Charlie Koester led the Trojans in scoring with 3g-3a. Sophomore Anthony Asaro (4g-1a) and Freshman Ben Smith (3g) also had big offensive nights. For the Gray Wolves, Jack Stanney led with 2g.
In the second quarter, they kept up the pressure adding another eight goals, five of which were assisted. Scoring was spread out with Asaro scoring three, Koester and Michael Berkery scoring two each, and Brayden Robertiello scoring the last. The Trojans led 12-0 going into halftime.
and the first of Stanney’s goals. The final two goals for the Trojans were scored after Canandaigua started pulling their goalie out of the cage to try and double the ball. Koester and Taylor Minuto scored with Minuto scoring on a fully open net with 2:18 left on the clock.
