The Spartans had a strong opening and closing to the contest with the Blue Devils playing strong in in the middle quarters. The game finished with eighteen penalties and five goals scored during man-up.

Gates Chili led or tied for the first 47:03 before Churchville-Chili scored the final goal of the contest to secure their win. The Spartans were looking for only their second wins over the Saints (Churchville-Chili lead 13-1 in last ten years).
