This is the first Sectional Title for Penfield since 2013. The Patriots and Red Raiders have now face three times in the Title Game and Penfield now has a 2-1 lead. Prior to today, Fairport defeated Penfield in 2012 and Penfield defeated Fairport in 1993. |

The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by Canandaigua senior Attackman, Devin Andrews who was named "Player of the Year". Andrews, who was also a US Lacrosse All-American, scored 72 goals and 47 assists this year. The SportsFive Offensive Player of the Year plans to study and play at Stony Brook next year. |

The Red Raiders scored the first four goals and held Penfield scoreless into the second quarter. The Patriots fought back hard for the entirety of the game, but never got closer than 2 goals. Fairport was led in scoring by TJ Hendricks with 4g-2a. Jake Bucci (4g-1a) and Spencer Bell (3g-1a) also added significant scoring for the Red Raiders. Fairport advances to the Finals for the sixth time in nine years (3 wins in 2014, 2012, 2010 and 2 losses in 2011 and 2009). They have not reached the finals since their win over Pittsford in 2014. |

Nine different Cadets made the scorebook, led by Jordan DePetres with 3g-1a. Shawn Doran won 13 of 14 draws for the winners and Jacob VanWuychuyse made six saves (100%). |

Penfield played a strong offensive game and held possession for large chunks of time. Their settled offense forced Irondequoit to rush when they did have the ball on offense. Patrick Hynes was a defensive standout for the Eagles. He repeatedly made saves that he had no business making and kept Irondequoit in the game. |

Senior goalie Jake Santini had an impressive fourteen save day (78%) in the cage for the Red Raiders who saw TJ Hendricks lead the offense with 3g-1a. Senior Nick Miller scored all four goals for Ithaca. |
# 1180 West Islip Holds Out For Win Section XI's West Islip hosted Penfield this afternoon and defeated the Patriots 8-7. The Lions have won all three times that they have faced Penfield over the last four years. West Islip is currently 7-1 this season. |
# 445 Semi: Pittsford to Meet Victor in Finals After trailing 1-0, Pittsford scored four straight goals to take the lead for good. The Panthers kept up their scoring and, even though the Patriots scored late to make the score closer, they defeated Penfield 12-9. The Patriots scored the final four goals to decrease the deficit to only three goals. Pittsford`s largest lead was 12-5 at the end of the third quarters. |
