DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Monday featured a wave of milestones and firsts. Brockport's Ryan Miller reached 200 career points and Tyler Davis scored his 50th Gan at Waynecareer goal in a 17-0 win over Medina, while Batavia-Notre Dame's Branden Flanagan reached 500 career saves in a 17-7 loss to East United, a game that also saw three players score their first career varsity goals. Aquinas got four goals from Kellan Campe in an 8-1 win over Mynderse-Romulus, and Wayne's Shane Coleman and Wyatt Murray combined for 16 points in a 19-1 win over Gananda, with Daniel Fetherly scoring his first career varsity goal.

GANANDA-1 at WAYNE-19 - Wayne beat Gananda 19-1 Monday evening in a non-league game, moving to 7-5. Nine different Eagles scored, and senior Daniel Fetherly scored his first career varsity goal. No stats were available for Gananda at post-time.

Shane Coleman led Wayne with four goals and four assists, while Wyatt Murray added Gan at Waynethree goals and five assists. Cody Crandell and Emmett Haak each contributed three goals and an assist, and Brady Flynn scored two goals. Paxton Landon, Nick Caine, Stone Sozio and Fetherly each added one goal.

BROCKPORT-17 at MEDINA-0 -  Brockport beat Medina 17-0 Monday evening in a non-league game, moving to 8-7. The night featured two career milestones: Ryan Miller reached 200 career points, finishing with three goals and four assists, and Tyler Davis scored his 50th career goal. Eight different Blue Devils found the net and Owen Perkins was perfect in goal. No stats were available for Medina at post-time.

Jaxon Ophardt led Brockport with four goals, while Miller, Nico Cenname and Davis each Bat at Eastadded three goals. Dylan Ryan contributed one goal and two assists, and Samuel Cedeno, Robert Steele and Carter Frasch each scored one. Kevin Johnson distributed two assists. In goal, freshman Owen Perkins made five saves on five shots (100%) over 48 minutes.

BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-7 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-17 - East United-Eastridge beat Batavia-Notre Dame 17-7 Monday evening in a non-league game, moving to 4-8. The game was packed with firsts: Louis Delvalle, Eli Smith and Gunnar Pietrzykowski of Batavia-Notre Dame each scored their first career varsity goal, while Delvalle, Evan Merkel and Ian Miano each recorded their first career varsity assist. Batavia-Notre Dame's Branden Flanagan also reached 500 career saves. Nine different East United players scored.

John Hart led East United with four goals and an assist, while Payton Terrigino and Sebastian Clark each added three goals. Ethan Flannery contributed two goals and an assist, Bat at Eastand Merkel, Delvalle, Andrew LaFond, Chancellor Williams and Smith each scored one. In goal, sophomore Xzavier Madrigal made seven saves on 14 shots (50%) over 48 minutes.
For Batavia-Notre Dame, Cullam Finn scored two goals and added an assist, while Trey Rodriguez, Aiden Kopper, Nolan Radley, Pietrzykowski and Jesus Aquino Ramon each added one goal. In goal, Flanagan reached his milestone with six saves over 24 minutes.

Bat-ND at East

MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-1 at AQUINAS-8 - Aquinas beat Mynderse-Romulus 8-1 Monday evening in a non-league game, moving to 7-7. Freshman Kellan Campe had a standout night offensively, and the goalie tandem of Logan Schimmel and Jake Gibson was outstanding, combining to allow just one goal.

Campe led Aquinas with four goals and two assists, while Chase Acker added two goals. Parker Bat at EastWegman and Antonio Valerie each scored one, and Jack Bell distributed three assists with Caleb Wood adding one. In goal, senior Logan Schimmel was perfect with four saves over 12 minutes, and senior Jake Gibson made 15 saves on 16 shots (94%) over 36 minutes.

For Mynderse-Romulus, Trace Parish scored the lone goal and Hunter Kurdziolek added an assist. Mynderse-Romulus falls to 4-9.

Looking Back

It was a week defined by individual milestones as players across the region reached career landmarks Hamburg at Penn Yanin goals, saves, and faceoff wins. Highlights included Brodie Joyce becoming Penfield's all-time career goal scorer, Hunter Kurdziolek and Carter Casper each notching their 50th career goals, James Maccallini reaching 100, and Trey Rodriguez setting a Batavia-Notre Dame record with his 200th career faceoff win. On the team side, Hilton extended its winning streak to 11, Pittsford stayed perfect at 13-0, and Penn Yan won its seventh straight.

The week's biggest moments came late and in overtime. Greece Storm stunned Brockport by scoring 12 unanswered goals to win 12-11, Chancellor Williams scored in double overtime to lift East United-Eastridge past Syracuse City 14-13, and a seventh grader named Red Wolk scored in OT to give Brighton a 13-12 win over Irondequoit. Orchard Park edged Canandaigua 9-8 in a game not decided until the final seconds, capping a week full of drama from start to finish.

SATURDAY -  Saturday's action was highlighted by a pair of career milestone goals including Mynderse-Romulus's Hunter Kurdziolek who Iron at Briscored his 50th and Greece Storm's James Maccallini who reached 100, as Mynderse won 11-5. Schroeder pulled off the day's biggest upset, beating Geneva 5-4 behind two goals each from JD Stockmann and Aiden Vollmer. Zach Tortora scored ten goals and Luke Kaye went 27 for 30 on faceoffs in Spencerport's 17-11 win over Lake Shore, seventh grader Red Wolk scored in overtime to lift Brighton past Irondequoit 13-12, and Midlakes' Carter Casper scored his 50th career goal in an 18-4 win over Jordan Elbridge. Victor beat JD 13-7 on five goals from Gage Hay, Penn Yan extended its winning streak to seven with a 15-7 win over Hamburg, and Orchard Park edged Canandaigua 9-8 in a game that wasn't decided until the final seconds. 

FRIDAY - Tonight's highlight was Chancellor Williams scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime, assisted by John Hart, as East United-Eastridge edged Syracuse City 14-13, with Williams finishing with six goals and three assists and Payton Terrigino adding five. In the other game, Gates Chili beat Batavia-Notre Dame 12-2 behind four goals from Noah Truax and three goals and three assists from Joshua Yakowitz, with Tremier Lewis scoring his first career varsity goal and Aiden Kopper setting a Batavia-Iron at BriNotre Dame program record for career takeaways.

THURSDAY - Today's top story was Greece Storm scoring 12 unanswered goals to stun Brockport 12-11, despite six goals from Ryan Miller. Hilton extended its winning streak to 11 with a 20-6 win over Irondequoit behind seven goals from Cahlan Smith, Pal-Mac's Mason Stalker reached 200 career faceoff wins in an 18-1 win over Mynderse-Romulus, and Wayne's Gavin Hamel reached 300 career saves in a 15-5 win over Waterloo. Penn Yan beat HF-L 15-5, Victor topped Fairport 11-5, and Auburn handed Geneva its third loss of the season 14-9. 

WEDNESDAY - There was a single game today. Aquinas was a 7-4 winner over Haverling.

TUESDAY -  Brodie Joyce became Penfield's all-Iron at Britime career goal scorer with his 137th goal in a 12-6 loss to Hilton, which extended its winning streak to ten. Pittsford stayed perfect at 13-0, Victor's Will Simpson reached 300 career saves in a win over Thomas, and Irondequoit's Kieran Stenzel and Dylan Carey each hit 50 career milestones in a 17-0 win over Gates Chili, where Demar Williams reached 400 career saves. Geneva beat Bloomfield-Honeoye 16-7 as both goalies hit 100 career saves, and Spencerport edged Brighton 10-7 as Ben Marangola scored his 50th career goal and James Newtown reached 100 career saves.

Players of the week were also announced. Honored were sophomore Bloomfield-Honeoye Attackman Brayden Arber, junior McQuaid Jesuit Attackman John Burrows, and senior Haverling Goalie McLan Stermole.

MONDAY - Monday's two-game slate featured Pal-Mac extending its winning streak to seven with a 15-2 win over L-A-G, with Max Hill posting four goals and five assists, Max Halsey adding four goals and senior John Turner scoring his first career varsity goal. In the night's other game, Batavia-Notre Dame fell to Tonawanda 12-8, but junior Trey Rodriguez stole the spotlight by setting a new program record with his 200th Newark at Marcus Whitmancareer faceoff win while also contributing two goals.

Looking Ahead

There are lots of games this week, with the largest number on Wednesday (9). It is expected the the number of mismatches will decrease this week. There could be some exciting surprises. Noteworthy games include:

On Monday there are five games including Batavia-Notre Dame at East United/Eastridge.

On Tuesday games include McQuaid at Rush-Henrietta and Newark at Haverling.

On Wednesday almost all of the seven games could be interesting ones. Among them are East United at Gates Chili, Brockport at Batavia-ND, Canandaigua at Iron at BriSpencerport, Churchville-Chili at Schroeder, Brighton at HFL, Victor at Hilton, and Irondequoit at Penfield.

On Thursday there are six games including Geneva at Pal-Mac and Batavia-ND at Haverling.

On Friday the five games scheduled include Waterloo at Mynderse-Romulus, Spencerport at HFL, and Thomas at Fairport.

On Saturday the week ends with seven games including Aquinas at Midlakes, Wayne at HFL, JD at Pittsford, and Lake Shore at Penn Yan.
