Looking Back

Brighton edged out Thomas 13-11 in Tuesday’s tightest battle, while Wayne secured a dramatic 14-13 win over Livonia-Avon-Geneseo on Victor at PenfieldThursday, fueled by Mason Michel’s standout seven-goal showing. Saturday’s slate featured Hilton’s narrow 11-10 victory over Pittsford, Irondequoit’s hard-fought 7-5 win against Fairport, and Watkins Glen’s 9-7 triumph over Waterloo. Meanwhile, commanding wins defined the rest of the week's action, as Canandaigua extended its undefeated streak, Sam Underhill became Newark’s all-time leading scorer, and Chase D’Amico reached 300 career faceoff wins, making for an exciting week of competition.

Monday: Late Rally Secures Bishop Kearney’s Win
Monday’s slate featured four games, with one delivering a closely contested battle. Bishop Kearney edged out Haverling 14-11, rallying in theSpence at Pitts second half behind five goals from James Scantleburry and a strong performance from freshman goalie Ethan Cole, who recorded 14 saves. Haverling’s Drew Spears contributed three goals and one assist, while junior goalie McLane Stermole reached his 600th career save. Elsewhere, Penn Yan dominated Mynderse-Romulus 19-4, Geneva extended its winning streak against Midlakes with a 9-4 victory, and the matchup between Waterloo and Batavia was halted due to lightning, with plans to resume at a later date.

Tuesday: Brighton Wins Tight Battle While Milestones Shine
Brighton edged out Thomas 13-11 in the day’s closest contest, while standout performances and career milestones defined the action across the 15 games played. Sam Underhill became Newark’s all-time leading scorer with a nine-goal performance, Jake Olbrich hit 100 career assists for Aquinas, and Geneva extended their winning streak to five. Victor, Penfield, and Fairport secured key wins, while Canandaigua remained undefeated with a dominant 19-0 victory. Players of the Week honored Miles McGuire (Brighton), Jayden Mandarano (Spencerport), andVictor at Irondequoit Sven Habitzreuther (Irondequoit).

Wednesday: Kearney Dominates in Non-League Victory
Bishop Kearney secured a strong victory over Batavia-Notre Dame in a non-league matchup at VanDetta Stadium, the only game played today. Kearney set the tone early with nine goals in the first quarter and carried their momentum through the rest of the game, finishing with a final score of 14-2.

Thursday: Wayne and Watkins Glen Prevail in Nail-Biters
Eleven games were played today, with two coming down to the wire. Wayne edged out Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 14-13, with Mason Michel delivering an outstanding seven-goal performance, while teammate Tas Strickland hit his career milestone with his 100th goal. Watkins Glen secured a tight 14-12 victory against Haverling after pulling ahead in the third quarter and holding on down the stretch. Akron at AquinasAcross the rest of the day's matchups, dominant wins were recorded by teams like Victor, McQuaid Jesuit, and Brockport, while Canandaigua maintained its undefeated season with a 13-7 victory over Hilton.

Friday: Brighton Pulls Away Late Against Spencerport
Four games were played on Friday, with Brighton edging out Spencerport in a close 14-10 battle. Brighton broke an early tie and sealed the win with a dominant fourth-quarter performance, led by Miles McGuire’s five goals. Zach Tortora matched that total for Spencerport, while Chase D’Amico reached a milestone with 300 career faceoff wins. In the other games, Pal-Mac continued its undefeated Haverling at Bishop Kareneyseason with a commanding victory over Gananda, Tully overpowered Mynderse-Romulus, and Gates Chili cruised past Batavia-Notre Dame.

Saturday: High-Stakes Battles and Dominant Wins Define the Day
Saturday saw 14 games played, with three matchups delivering thrilling, down-to-the-wire finishes. Hilton edged out Pittsford 11-10 in a tightly contested league battle, propelled by standout performances from Gianluca Auriuso and Nicholas Presutti, while Pittsford’s Charlie Ryan contributed two goals and two assists. Irondequoit fought hard for a 7-5 win over Fairport, with Kieran Stenzel leading the offensive charge. Watkins Glen rounded out the close contests with a hard-fought 9-7 victory against Waterloo. Meanwhile, the remaining 11 games featured commanding performances, as Canandaigua extended its winning streak, Gananda dominated with an offensive showcase, and Schroeder staged an impressive comeback win.

With the regular season entering its final stretch, forty-eight games are set to unfold throughout the week, delivering intense competition and key matchups.

Monday kicks off with five games, including Mynderse-Romulus at Newark and Churchville-Chili atVictor at Penfield Schroeder.

Tuesday brings eight contests, highlighted by Marcus Whitman visiting Mynderse-Romulus and Aquinas facing off against Pittsford.
