Tuesday – Thrilling Battles and Milestone Moments

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - Brighton edged out Thomas 13-11 in the day’s closest contest, while standout performances and career milestones defined the action across the 15 games played. Akron at AQSam Underhill became Newark’s all-time leading scorer with a nine-goal performance, Jake Olbrich hit 100 career assists for Aquinas, and Geneva extended their winning streak to five. Victor, Penfield, and Fairport secured key wins, while Canandaigua remained undefeated with a dominant 19-0 victory. 

LIVONIA-AVON-GENESEO-9 at BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-15 - [UPDATED] Bloomfield-Honeoye defeated Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 15-9 in an FL-D1 league matchup. John Blair led with four goals and six assists, while Tyler Bruder added five goals. Blair set a new school record for both points and assists. Goaltender Ethan Stoddard recorded eight saves. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo’s offense was led by Max McEnerney with three goals, and goaltender Colton Rose posted 23 saves with a 61% save rate and passed his 400th save milestone.    [ Story and BOX SCORE

GREECE STORM-10 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-4- Greece Storm earned a 10-4 win over East United-Eastridge, led by Carter Fabian’s three goals. Mitchell Barnes recorded nine saves with an 82% save rate in goal. Greece Storm remains undefeated against Akron at AQEast United-Eastridge in their series history, improving to 3-10 for the season. AKRON-4 at AQUINAS-11 - Aquinas secured an 11-4 win against Akron, breaking a 4-4 tie at halftime with five third-quarter goals. Leading Aquinas scorers included Jake Guggino with four goals and Noah Olbrich with three goals and one assist. Olbrich also reached his 100th career assist. Dom Siesto won 14 of 19 faceoffs, while junior goalie Jake Gibson posted eight saves on 12 shots for a 67% save rate. VICTOR-14 at IRONDEQUOIT-9 - Victor defeated Irondequoit 14-9 in their MC-D2 league matchup, extending their winning streak against Irondequoit to sixteen games. Will Johnson led Victor with four goals, while Dylan Carey paced Irondequoit with four goals. Goalies Sven Habitzreuther and Will Simpson recorded save rates above 50%. CANANDAIGUA-19 at BROCKPORT-0 - Canandaigua defeated Brockport 19-0, improving to 11-0 on the season. Thirteen players scored, with Drew Williamee leading with four goals. Goalie Evan Scibelli recorded two saves with a 100% save rate, and faceoff specialist Peyton Fritz won 18 of 22 draws. PENFIELD-12 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-8 - Penfield won 12-8 against Rush-Henrietta on Tuesday, strengthening their record to 7-5. Penfield had a strong first half, led by Brodie Joyce and Griffin Banister, who each scored three goals. The team’s goalie, Akron at AQMason Schembri, recorded 13 saves with a 62% save percentage. Rush-Henrietta scored four goals in the final quarter but could not close the gap. FAIRPORT-9 at HILTON-4 - Fairport defeated Hilton 9-4 in a league matchup, pulling away in the second half after a 3-3 first-quarter tie. Mitchell Monte led Fairport with three goals and two assists, and goalie Luke Ryan recorded 14 saves with a 78% save rate. GATES CHILI-5 at HFL-21 - Honeoye Falls-Lima secured a decisive 21-5 victory over Gates Chili in their league game. PAL-MAC-19 at WAYNE-5 - Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 19-5 in an FL-D1 league game. Shane Coleman led Wayne with three goals, while Mason Michel and Tucker Eaton each added one. Eaton and Stone Sozio contributed assists. Wayne’s goaltenders, Andrew Contestabile and Gavin Hamel, each finished with save percentages above 50%. Pal-Mac maintained its undefeated record at 11-0, with head coach Joe Hill earning his 225th career win. GENEVA-18 at GANANDA-8 - Geneva secured an 18-8 victory over Victor at IrondequoitGananda in an FL-D1 league game on Tuesday. Ryland Dunham led Geneva with eight goals, while Max Heieck added five. Jase Smith and Mason Groh each recorded three goals for Gananda. Geneva’s goalie Owen Marquart posted an 80% save rate, and Gananda’s Nick Falso reached his 400th career save. SCHROEDER-2 at PITTSFORD-14 - Pittsford secured a 14-2 win over Schroeder in a non-league matchup at Sutherland, extending its winning streak to seventeen games in the series. Seven players contributed to Pittsford's scoring, with Avery Valenti leading with four goals. Schroeder’s Garrett Conger scored both of his team’s goals, assisted once by Parker Brown. Pittsford goaltender Pierce Madigan recorded four saves with a 67% save rate, while Bear Wehrheim stopped the only shot he faced. MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-6 at MIDLAKES-19 - Midlakes secured a 19-6 league victory over Mynderse-Romulus, led by five-goal performances from Walker Landschoot and Theodore Altman. Contributions came from multiple players, including Nate Lathrop and Brendan Baldwin, while goalie Stuart Quku recorded a 73% save rate. Jack Brady scored three goals for Mynderse-Romulus, with additional support from Griffin Hilimire and Hunter Kurdziolek. NEWARK-14 at MARCUS WHITMAN-11 - Newark earned a 14-11 win over Marcus Whitman, led by Sam Underhill’s nine goals, making him the all-time leading scorer in Newark High School history. Newark pulled ahead in the final quarter after a strong start by Marcus Whitman. Ayden Clark led Marcus Whitman with five goals and two assists, Victor at Irondequoitwhile goaltender Carter Bumpus recorded a 56% save percentage for Newark. SPENCERPORT-18 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-4 - Spencerport controlled the game from the start, defeating Churchville-Chili 18-4 in their league matchup. Gavin Brown and Zach Tortora led Spencerport with five goals each, while Brayden Hoak scored three times for Churchville-Chili.
