Pittsford Takes Fairport in OT
DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were 13 games played today and 5 were close ones. Pittsford defeated Fairport in overtime by a score of 8-7. Victor defeated Brighton by a score of 8-7.
PENFIELD-7 at GREECE STORM-3 - The Patriots continued the series winning streak at 6-0 with their win tonight at Greece. GATES CHILI-1 at SPENCERPORT-15 - Seven different players scored goals for Spencerport (7-4) including Freshman midfielder Derek Keens, Senior midfielder Anthony Hackett, 8th grade midfielder Mason Endres, and 8th grade defenseman Nico Schiano who each scored their first Varsity goal. At the top of the scoring list were Jayden Mandarano (4g-2a), 8th grade attackman Gavin Brown (5g-1a), and sophomore midfielder Zach Tortora (5a). Chase D`Amico won 14+/4- = 78%, and Jamison Brown won 2+/0- = 100% at the faceoff "X". PITTSFORD-8 at FAIRPORT-7 in overtime - This was an exciting and close game throughout, with both teams taking the lead during the game. The teams were tied 1-1 after the first quarter and Fairport took the lead in the second which ended with the Red Raiders up 3-1. The Panthers came back strong in the third tying the game at 4-4 with four minutes left in the third quarter and the put in the go-ahead goal just before the end of the quarter. Fairport took another lead in the last quarter before Pittsford forced overtime with the games tied at 7-7. Pittsford won the game when freshman offensiveman player Cole Goetz scored the game winner. Scoring for Fairport (6-4) were Jack DuBose (3g), Mitchell Monte (2g), Michael Priddy (2a), and Ryan Priddy (1g). Facing off for Fairport was sophomore Corey Roeser with 16+/3- = 84%.
