2015-04-23 - In one of the two overtime games of the night, Gates Chili never led before winning the game in overtime 9-8 against Spencerport. The Spartans trailed, including never having the game tied, until 1:20 left in regulation. Man-up was a major factor in the game with Gates Chili scoring on 4/7 and Spencerport scoring on 2/6.

The Rangers led off the scoring with the first four goal goals. Alex Renz, Trevor Dustin and Jonathan Agness (2) scored for Spencerport in the first quarter. They led 4-0 at the conclusion of the first quarter. Gates Chili didn`t scored their first goal until 21:14 into the contest. The Spartans scored the only goal of the second quarter with a man-up goal with 2:46 remaining in the half. Brett Kirkpatrick scored with an assist from Nicholas Ehmann.

Kirkpatrick scored the first goal of the fourth quarter with 6:56 remaining. Austin Castre scored the first of his two goals two minutes later. Back to back man-up goals from Talarico brought the game to within a single goal with 2:15 remaining. Castre scored another man-up goal to tie and send the game into overtime. After losing the face-off on a technical foul, the Spartans fought to get the ball back and Talarico scored the winning goal with 3:22 remaining in the first overtime period.
