DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - The teams are now complete for Tuesday and Wednesday nights at St. John Fisher University, where the 2023 Section V champions will be determined. In the Class B semi-finals, Irondequoit came out with the first three goals, but Victor came back with the win. In the second game at Pittsford Sutherland, in a close game that was not determined until the fourth quarter, Spencerport defeated Schroeder 6-4, sending the Rangers to their first Sectional finals. In Class D, Penn Yan scored four goals in the first quarter and led at the half 7-3 on their way to a 13-3 win over Marcus Whitman. Aquinas scored four goals in the first quarter and five in the second and led 9-2 at the half.

# 3407  Victor Advances to Class B Finals

Victor came back from a slow start in the first quarter with 11 unanswered goals spanning the first three quarters in their 16-9 win over Irondequoit.  The Blue Panthers will move on to face Spencerport in the Class B Finals on Wednesday.  The Blue Devils were led in scoring by senior attackman Pax Marshall (4g-4a).  Senior attackman Sam Gotham finished with 5g for the Blue Devils.  For the Eagles, the scoring was much more spread out with four different players finishing with two goals each (Cooper Moore, Ryan Boe, Dan Buckley and Aidan Greco).  Moore (the only non-senior) of the scoring group is a freshman.

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - It took overtime after seven ties for the Rangers to beat McQuaid Jesuit 10-9. Brighton scored first and never looked back as they beat Aquinas 11-8. An unmatched goal in the fourth quarter was one goal less than the Saints needed as Livonia-Avon won 8-7. Penn Yan has an overtime loss against a strong Lake Shore team from Buffalo and Schroeder held the Hawks scoreless in three quarters for their 5-3 win in Corning.

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - With 1.9 seconds left in regulation, Baldwinsville senior Carson Dyl (3g) scored the winning goal to give the Bees a 7-6 win at home. Spencerport had a one goal win over Lake Shore (Section VI). Other winners include Mynderse, Aquinas, R-H, Pittsford, HFL, Irondequoit and Thomas.

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Out of the fourteen games played today, ten were mismatches. The others include a come from behind win for Mynderse in their game with Newark. Pittsford had an 8-2 win over Thomas and Schroeder beat Hilton 10-6. The Waterloo team did not have enough players for their game with Geneva and in the closest game of the night, Irondequoit took a 12-11 victory at Churchville-Chili.    BOX SCORE]

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Tere were a dozen games played today and most were mismatches, Canandaigua beat Penn Yan by a single goal and Victor beat Niskayuna 15-7. West Genesee edged out Penfield by one goa (13-12) and Mynderse posted a shutout at Waterloo. Other local winners were Irondequoit, Pal-Mac, Schroeder, Fairport, Geneva, Spencerport, and Marcus Whitman.
