Saturday: Victor over Kiskayuna, CA over Penn Yan
DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Tere were a dozen games played today and most were mismatches, Canandaigua beat Penn Yan by a single goal and Victor beat Niskayuna 15-7. West Genesee edged out Penfield by one goa (13-12) and Mynderse posted a shutout at Waterloo. Other local winners were Irondequoit, Pal-Mac, Schroeder, Fairport, Geneva, Spencerport, and Marcus Whitman.
HAMBURG-7 at FAIRPORT-14 - The Red Raiders wasted no time, scoring six unanswered goals in the first quarter and then trading three goals before the half. Scoring for Fairport (4-2) were Sam Pucci (2g-5a), Mitchell Monte (1g-2a) and Michael Priddy (4g) who scored his first Varsity goal in the game. Also scoring were Bobby Cameron (3g), Jack DeBose (1g), Ryan Pedro (2g-1a), and Nicholas Fosegan (1g). Facing off for Fairport was freshman Marc Hillier with 10+/4- = 71%. WAYNE-9 at IRONDEQUOIT-17 - Head Coach Aaron Bottazzo celebrated his 25th win for Irondequoit as they scored a run of eight and then a run of six for the win over visiting Wayne. VICTOR-15 at NISKAYUNA-7 - In another demonstrative statement game, the Blue Devils took on another nationally ranked team and beat them. With 1:32 left in the third quarter Tukker Fisher tied the game at 4-4 with an assists from Carter Earl. The tie was short-lived as Braden Gioseffi took the game to 5-4 CA with four seconds left in the third. Both teams scored one in the last stanza. With the win, Canandaigua maintains their undefeated season (6-0) and Head Coach Deven York won his 75th game for CA.
