Finally, there were a number of close games played in the section today. Victor held off a last minute attack by Irondequoit to hold on to a 7-6 win. Hilton beat the Lightning 8-6, McQuaid came back hard to beat Livonia 14-13 in overtime.

The All Tournament Teams for 2013 were announced on Championship Tuesday. MVP for A, B and C were Mitch Standera (Penfield), Mitchell Schaefer (Canandaigua) and Ryan Maciejewski (Penn Yan). Players were selected on the basis of their performances in the Section Five Tournaments.

The All Star list is out recognizing the Monroe County League players for the 2013 season. Senior midfielders Kevin Vaughn (Fairport), Jay Vakiener (Fairport) and Ben Brooks (Irondequoit), along wth senior defenseman Charlie Cummins (Penfield) and senior attackmen Albie DiPasquale (Pittsford) and Matt Kaser (Spencerport) were selected as USLacrosse All Americans.

After a triple overtime win in the Class B Finals last season, Canandaigua returns at the top of the pack.  The Braves lost their next game to the Section VI Champion Hamburg.  They return fifty-two percent of their roster this season with fourteen new players joining the team.

In one of the most excited games this season, Churchville-Chili scored the last three goals in regulation to force overtime before defeating Webster Thomas. Ryan Cosgrove scored his first goal of the game unassisted with 1:42 remaining in the first overtime period.

Corning scored five goals in the fourth quarter, including the winning goal with 0:21 left in regulation. Churchville-Chili face off specialist Mike Caternolo won 16/23 today and added a goal. In the third quarter he registered his 200th career face off win.

Canandaigua has reached the Sectional Championship game 13 times and Churchville-Chili has only reached it once and the Braves demonstrated tonight that they know how to win in Sectionals. The Braves defeated the Saints 14-12 after trailing 0-4 in the first quarter.

Coming back today to finish last night`s game, after it was called due to weather, benefited Churchville-Chili as they outscored Hilton 3-2 to win the game 10-9. The Saints` Ryan Cosgrove scored the first goal today and assisted the second and third to secure the win for the Saints.
