There were a number of out of section games played today and Section Six (Buffalo) won them all. Hamburg defeated Canandaigua 13-12, Orchard Park won their game with Pittsford and Williamsville-North beat Spencerport in overtime 13-12.

Penn Yan, Penfield and HF-L were the winners on Friday. Penn Yan won the annual rivalry with a 7-3 win over visiting Canandaigua. Penfield scored three unanswered goals in the first to help win their game against the Long Island team from Lindenhurst 12-11.

Canandaigua had previously lost in overtime to Churchville-Chili and Penn Yan with a single goal loss to Fairport in regulation. Overall, the 7-4 Braves have had 7 of 11 games decided by two points or less.

Junior midfielder Kevin Hill (Thomas) along with senior attackmen Trevor Hodgins (Churchville-Chili), Justin Kesselring (Fairport-A/M) and Stephen Quinzi (Pittsford) were selected as US Lacrosse All Americans.

After last year`s heart felt triple overtime loss to the Braves, Victor came to play and defeated Canandaigua 12-8. The Braves led for most of the first quarter. The Blue Devils scored the opening goal of the second quarter to take their first lead of the game and never looked back.
