Players of the Week - Group 4
Section V Boys Lacrosse Coordinator Mike Simon in conjunction with Geneva Club Beverages are sponsoring recognition of noteworthy performances throughout the season.
In our third group we have a senior and a junior who had noteworthy performances in the last week.
Offensive Players of the Week
Gianluca Auriuso - Junior Hilton Attackman
Gianluca Auriuso Had a big week and was instrumental in three wins for the Cadets. Offensively he had seven goals in the Fayetteville-Manlius win, Three goals and an assist in the Churchville-Chili win and another goal in the win against Spencerport. The junior attackman, in his third year with the Cadets, he has 105 career points and was a first team All-league pick last year.
Head Coach Tim Byrnes says, "Luca had offseason knee surgery due to a football injury and put in a lot of time and effort to get back on the field ready for the spring season. He is an excellent one on one dodger and has the ability to get his hands free to shoot in tight spaces. His quick release makes him especially dangerous near the crease and in unsettled situations."
"As a teammate, Gianluca brings confidence, competitiveness, and a willingness to put in extra work, making him a respected presence in our offensive unit."
Defensive Player of the Week

Ayden Szymanski is a senior goalie from Livonia-Avon-Geneseo, returning for his second year as a starter for the Lakers.
