Honeoye Falls-Lima - Excited for the Season
HF-L 2022
Class C - Monroe County League
The Cougars lost quite a few seniors after their Class C championship win last year. Gone is first teamers Matt Blythe (51g-30a), Colt Green (29g-17a) and LSM Ian Kane (MCC). Colt was the tournament MVP. Gone also are defensemen Jack Graney and Cade Ratliff-Kailbourne (MCC).
Back, however is two-way middie sophomore Chase Perryman who logged 29g-24a last year. Also back is junior A/M Braydn Trybuskiewicz (34g-22a) who Coach Beaney says is a "tough, hard-working player."
Coach Beaney says that Senior A/M David Brassie (9g-15a) "has great vision and is a tremendous worker" and sophomore midfielder/faceoff specialist Drew Angelo "has been working hard in the off-season to improve his face-off abilities." Senior defenseman Alex Zuber is expected to lead the close defense.
"We have a good mix of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors this year. The kids are hard workers who are great to have. We have gotten off to a great start this year and are excited for the season."
A Monroe County D-3 team, the Cougars play two games each with East United-Eastridge, Churchville-Chili, Irondequoit, Gates Chili, and Brockport. Coach Beaney has non-league games with Livonia-Avon, Haverling, Schroeder and McQuaid Jesuit and cross-over games with Brighton and Hilton.
