Brighton took the lead in the second quarter and kept the lead for the rest of the game. The Barons defeated Rush-Henrietta 17-14 to remain undefeated. The early game was back and forth with the score tied at 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 before the Barons scored five unanswered goals to secure the lead. Brett Randall (4g-5a) was key in taking control. Although the Barons never trailed again, the Royal Comets kept the game close for the entire time. They scored the first goal of the final quarter (Matt Zarzycki unassisted) to bring the game within a single goal (12-11 Brighton). However, the Barons responded with three goals and the Royal Comets couldn't keep pace. In the cage for Brighton, Caleb Green played three quarters and finished at 50% (10 saves).
