Wheeler's Four Goals Lift Victor in Semifinal Thriller
HILTON-6 at VICTOR-8 - Victor overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat Hilton 8-6 in a Class B semifinal on Wednesday, extending its winning streak to eight and improving to 16-2. Colin Wheeler was the difference-maker with four goals and an assist, including two in the fourth quarter to start a five-goal run that turned a 4-3 deficit into the winning margin. Jackson Mead added two goals and Gage Hay chipped in two more as Victor outscored Hilton 5-2 in the fourth. Will Simpson made 10 saves in net at 63%.
For Hilton, Drew Brien scored two goals and Anthony Mitrano, Gianluca Auriuso, Jack Palmer, and Tyler Reger each added one. Brendan Maxwell was strong in net with 17 saves at 68%. Hilton finishes 14-4.
