DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Today's Section V semifinals delivered eight home wins across all four classes. In Class A, McQuaid Jesuit edged Rush-Henrietta 11-9 behind three goals each from John Burrows and Dominic Camarella, while Penfield held off Fairport 8-6 on Griffin Banister's three goals. Class B saw Pittsford stay perfect at 18-0 with a 19-4 win over Thomas, and Victor rallied from a deficit with five fourth-quarter goals to edge Hilton 8-6 on Colin Wheeler's four-goal effort. In Class C, Honeoye Falls-Lima's Grady Goodberlet scored five goals in a 14-4 win over Aquinas, and Geneva survived a late Wayne rally to win 6-5 on Ryland Dunham's four goals. Class D produced the day's biggest milestones, as Pal-Mac's Max Hill and Jackson Dennie reached 150 assists and 200 goals respectively in a 15-4 win over Marcus Whitman, and Penn Yan cruised past Midlakes 19-5 behind five goals each from Braden Fingar and Logan Sprague.

The Section V finals are set for Saturday. Class A: McQuaid Jesuit vs. Penfield. Class B: Pittsford vs. Victor. Class C: Honeoye Falls-Lima vs. Geneva. Class D: Pal-Mac vs. Penn Yan.

FAIRPORT-6 at PENFIELD-8  - Griffin Banister's three goals and an assist and solid contributions from Brodie Joyce and Jake Maurer carried Penfield to an 8-6 Class A semifinal win over Fairport, sending the Patriots to the final against McQuaid Jesuit.    [ Story and BOX SCORE]   - - More images in the photo gallery.

HILTON-6 at VICTOR-8  - Colin Wheeler's four goals, including two in a decisive five-goal fourth quarter, carried Victor past Hilton 8-6 in a back-and-forth Class B semifinal that featured three ties before the Blue Devils pulled away. MARCUS WHITMAN-4 at PAL-MAC-15  - Max Hill's six goals and milestone 150th career assist and Jackson Dennie's four goals and milestone 200th career goal carried Pal-Mac to a 15-4 Class D semifinal win over Marcus Whitman, setting up a final against Penn Yan.  [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

THOMAS-4 at PITTSFORD-19 - Grant Lewis' five goals and two assists and Avery Valenti's three goals powered undefeated Pittsford to a 19-4 Class B semifinal win over Thomas, setting up a Class B final against Victor.    [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

AQUINAS-4 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-14  - Grady Goodberlet's five goals and an assist carried Honeoye Falls-Lima to a 14-4 Class C semifinal win over Aquinas, with Jake Gibson closing out his career with 726 saves for the Little Irish. WAYNE-5 at GENEVA-6 - Ryland Dunham's four goals carried Geneva to a 6-5 Class C semifinal win over Wayne in a game that wasn't decided until the final minutes, setting up a final against Honeoye Falls-Lima on Saturday.    [ Story and BOX SCORE]
